As a more or less casual player of CDDA for years, all other survival/zombie/roguelike/crafting games feel empty, it's to awesome.

I'll give another try to PZ i guess, soon.

Quoting: Liam DaweWorked out of the box for me on Manjaro. I just used the launch script with Vulkan because why not, worked well for me.
It was an issue with itchio launching the game with -force-vulkan by default even on machines not Vulkanized.

Now they have updated the launcher to select Play, or Play (Vulkan).

On my Manjaro, the game crash while loading a new game. I can access menu and all, but when i'm done, i see the loading screen, and crash to desktop without warning.

However, if i go to local folder and open a Terminal to launch the game, it works, showing this :

./Dominus\ Galaxia.x86_64
Set current directory to /home/tchey/Jeux/dominus-galaxia
Found path: /home/tchey/Jeux/dominus-galaxia/Dominus Galaxia.x86_64
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; SteamAPI_IsSteamRunning() failed.
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to locate a running instance of Steam, or a local steamclient.so.

So i can play, but not from itchio.

First-person block-based urban sandbox city-builder 'Voxel Turf' adds new biomes

This game is a gem. Played it about 2 years ago i think for the fist time, and replayed it this month, it bends genre, in a great way, and i love games that don't do the easy like-the-other-but different stuff.

It reminds me of Shores of Hazeron, a hugly MMOG with a extremely awesome concept i played years ago, with a much smaller scale of course.

I guess it's because at least you know what you are forced to buy, instead of being forced to blindly buy...

The situation is only going to grow stupid...

Songs of Syx, the pixel-art city-builder with an epic scale now has a Steam page and newer demo

I'm following it since a while. If it's going well, it will be awesome.

The max unit count in this version i think is... 15 000 ! It really targets the large scale, and things on map are 1:1, so for example a bed is not just one tile, it's at least 2 + space around + carpets + furniture... The game advises for a simple starting colony with 10 peons to make vegetables field a 8x8 zone + another for fruits, while in many other games alike (such as the amazing Odd Realm), it's like 2x3.

So cities grow large fast, and it's crazy.

Mindustry the Factorio-like tower-defense game is now on Steam

That game is awesome, have it for maybe 2 years, great progress.

It's a lot like Factorio at its start : a failure, low player population, not enough com', "ugly" visual...
Look at Factorio today, sold thousands of units, it's a genre almost.

Race through a dying world as a squirrel in the climbing platformer OSK, out now

I tested it, and i feel it's bad. Visual and musics are excellent, but gameplay is wasted. Controls are bad, squirrel does not behave like you may expect from a squirrel. Weird to write, but that's my main feeling... Also, didn't do it myself, but it seems the game is extra short, like 2 hours long, and you cannot save. The game literally tells you at the beginning you can't save because the game is pretty short. Also, no key rebinding, and my xBoxOne USB didn't work.

Too bad it's going to be "historical", and not "mythological" with beasts, gods, etc.
