Now official: you can buy a refurbished Steam Deck from Valve
9 Aug 2023 at 10:06 am UTC

Quoting: GroganHmmm... that doesn't bode well that there are quantities of "refurbished" Steam Decks already.

1) People not happy and returning them
2) Returns of defective units, repaired.
Do you know how large those "quantities" even are?

Finally. One less extra launcher to become a nuisance?
Yeah... I hate to break it to you mate but... Have you seen EA, UBISOFT and all the other games on Steam from companies that have their own Launcher? If any, I'd say it's going to be "one more extra launcher to deal with on every stupid update they do" (looking at you, Ubisoft and EA).
They already said that there won't be another launcher. You just need a bnet account.

I'm just curious about the "legality" of those things. I think when Valve released the CAD-files for the Deck they said it's not for commercial purposes and that you'd have to get in contact with them if you want to sell stuff like this.

Are they licensed or did they just do it and Valve doesn't bother to do anything about it, because why bother? lol

The Last of Us Part I got a juicy patch with Steam Deck improvements

Quoting: pmatulkaFrom my point of view: no tux no bux. I have 229 games on steam and I will never buy no native game. If i want play no native game there is torrent + wine.
What does that have to do with the topic? And are people now supposed to be impressed that you pirate stuff?

Steam Deck OS 3.4.6 Beta adds DOOM Eternal Ray Tracing, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty fixes

Quoting: EikeDo I really want Ray-Tracing on such a medium powered device?!?
Maybe not, but having the software ready for a future device or being able to use it while docked (so that it doesn't drain too much battery)... I think that's great.
