They're also making a Wayland compositor, and I wanna see if Nvidia will have the balls to not support wayland if their masters start to use it.

Since it's Croteam making, you can have 100% sure they'll have a Native Linux version using Vulkan avaliable.
I personally think Croteam is the best game producer company nowadays, but unfortunately I don't like their games.

This somehow makes me a little happy to still be using an old Athlon II X3 (which "transform" into a Phenon II X4 after using Asus Core Unlocker)
I wonder if this will result in another performance hit for linux users.

Speculation: porting studio Feral Interactive could be in some trouble (updated: they're fine)

I mean, they must at least have some very good Vulkan programmers in the team due to their very good quality ports.
Anyway, it's only a thought I have, it's not like I'm their CEO anyway...

Quoting: EikeGame design and making takes totally different skills from porting. But doesn't prevent then to acquire/hire people with those knowledge :)

Quoting: Liam DaweAnd can also take multiple years for a single game. Some years which they may not have if they base their business only in porting things.

I think Feral should think about become a gaming developer company rather than just porting existent ones...
Of course they can't use the codes from the games they already ported, but I think they may have people with know how to make decent multi platform games (pc/consoles/mobiles) and this is still a niche even between big companies.
It take just one good game to make a company relevant, and if they somehow could make a cross platform game (consoles) this could be the icing on the cake.

Quoting: Liam DaweI suggest you read the article. It's not just for showing gamesBut if I check, Steam will hide games which are not flagged as Linux compatible right? If not then I'll change in my profile ASAP
Quoting: Liam DaweOutside of that, there's nothing like what you're asking for.I know, that's why I say I would like to see :)

I mean like each profile could select which specific OS they prefer most, even if they're not using it right now. So they could have an separated statistic based on this user choice (again without necessary impact in the existent ones).
If they prefer they could also separate in group distros like "Debian Family" "Fedora Family" "Arch Family" etc, and display a little icon in the user profile like the ones we have here :)

Quoting: Liam DaweSo you mean this?Nope. This one if I understand correctly is a filter for steam just show games with the flag the user choose.
