D9VK for translating D3D9 to Vulkan in Wine has a big new release out

I wonder when this project merge with Proton, if there will be an option to activate/deactivate between Vulkan or Opengl (for hardware not compatible with Vulkan) or if Proton will automatically detect if gpu is compatible and pick one automatically.

"developers and Valve testing specifying default Proton configuration options for games even if they're not yet white-listed"
It would be really nice if those Japanese companies starts to use this, so they could see the bad side of insist in using Microsoft proprietary codecs in their games.

Hopefully R6S will work this time (besides uplay). This is the kind of news that I would prefer to know only when it's released, so I wouldn't be anxious about it (or frustated if won't work).

I wonder about the current status of EAC compatibility with Proton, since they didn't post about it anywhere, is hard to know if it is still being developed or if they dropped it entirely.

If/when they got EAC to work, we will have a whole lot of new reports in Protondb.

To people worried about losing support for the steam version, I know that Valve has a clause forbidden publishers to sell exclusive dlc content outside, without sell inside steam too (don't know if it applies with cosmetics either) so by contract they can't stop pushing new content in steam version.

The most probably scenario will be, they just dropping to provide the Linux-native version (since Epic won't require) and releasing "Rocket League 2", which will be Windows-Epic exclusive and won't be bound by Valve because they will not sell it there.
