Liam the link of Steam's Morrowind from the article is incorrect.

The TUXEDO Nano Pro is a powerhouse in a tiny box

Quoting: MohandevirYeah, but built by Valve with the same agressive pricing that fueled the Steam Deck. Not the overpriced and underpowered offering of the original batch. If the Steam Deck is successful (we got indicators that it could be), it would create a context really different to what was in 2015... So, who knows?

Edit: But since the initial failure of the Steam Machines, I wouldn't use that name again. Steam Box maybe?
They mostly will considering a possible success scenario of deck, and they have way more chances of being successful this time due to the improvement of Linux gaming scenario compared back to 2014.

What I also expect is to see some competitors like Epic or EA also attempting to join this market (maybe partnered with Nvidia or Intel), or Google doing something similar with Android and ARM.

Quoting: MohandevirIt would be nice if the next step in Valve's hardware offering was a dedicated next gen AMD console like PS5 or Xbox Series X (performance and hardware wise). Who knows, if the Steam Deck is a success? Not keeping my hopes too high though.
Steam Machines 2?

Proton Experimental gets more CEG DRM fixes, new fsync code
2 Nov 2021 at 10:59 pm UTC

Quoting: fagnerlnDo you know what are you talking about? Kernel with fsync is generally patched, so there's no difference between update manually a kernel and setup a patched one.
The difference is that common users don't usually update their default kernel, so if a distro is not using the minimal version with support by default, they won't have the patched benefits since most of distros make the kernel update separated from the usual upgrade process.

Not anyone's fault in this, but it's a reason why I prefer rolling distros for gaming use cases.

Quoting: The_AquabatAlso according to the github ticket of Just Cause 2 you need proton experimental bleeding edge branch... (the beta of the beta, so to speak)
More beta than that, and you have to play while they're codding the patch

Microsoft Edge available officially for Linux today as a stable browser
2 Nov 2021 at 4:22 pm UTC

The only differential that this browser could have for Linux is if that includes the "internet explorer" mode to be compatible with legacy systems. Other than that it's just yet another Chromium spin...

I hope at least they're contributing with something back to the Chromium projects

According to a Proton developer if you have an older Kernel fsync should be automatically disabled so if you want to use it you need to update.
One of the reasons why I personally don't like to use "stable" distros myself

FEAR 3
I wish there was a way to force this game to use steamcloud, every time I want to play as Fettel I need to first finish the game as Pointman.
