Nat is a system from routers to redirect ports. Punch holing is a technique to connect two pc's without open ports on the NAT. Is a way too fool it usually via UDP port. Both pcs connect to a romete server. Then NAT open a UDP port to the client machine for a outgoing connection. Then both clients start communicate each other via those ports.

The idea is connect two or more players to play together without a game server. One of the players will act as a server

You are right, VR is a separated thing, same as 2D games and 3D games are. 2D games still appearing, and the new VR technology won't stop 3D or 2D keep be released. But to be honest, i can not imagine that next GTA will be 2D as the first releases, since they jumped to 3D is hard to go back. For this reason i really hope new Half Life become VR.

Tested on my PC with nvidia driver 4.6.0 NVIDIA 440.82.

I was expecting problems since it says it works better on AMD. But i'm really surprised, it works pretty the same as on windows, 0 reprojection at all. Only some stuttering while loading. Rest was working flawless. I didn't tried linux for VR for really long time, and steamVR now is ages from it was a pair of years ago :D now is just increible playable. I just entered to test it, and i have been playing for 3 hours XD I'm happy with this results ;D
