i just hope the pricing is better than with EAC/BattlEye and the ease of integration also makes some devs to switch to DAC instead of EAC, so we have some chance to play some games.
Garry? Can you switch Rust to DAC instead of EAC! :D

Will give it a shot if i get some time. The combat was indeed pretty dull. There was no real feedback from shooting weapons didn't have any real kickback, bullets didn't have drop, enemy AI was dumb and there just wasn't any satisfaction from it.. Rest of the game seemed really nice though.

Quoting: BasianiLatest Nvidia driver also has bug for Detroit: Become Human, you can't play after chapter 28, it crashes, need to downgrade 440. After som search in web, it's clear that same happens on Windows too. So, newer drivers have not only security problems.Ohh thats weird... i played through all of the game with 450.xx drivers..different ones. havent tried on 460 though

been on Arch (MATE desktop) for 7 years now, just keep rolling and rolling. Can't remember any major breakages. Few package conflicts with AUR have happened, but easy to fix. Few times i have messed up by tweaking some wrong configs, but easy to revert the changes anyway. Super happy. And i love systemd also.. easy to make new services, super fast boot aand so on. Can't wait for systemd-oomd to become a default and stable.
Ohh last 4 years i also run with testing repos enabled, so theres that :)

The special case is Horizon Zero Dawn though, where performance is exactly half of what it should be.
Don't have any other DX12 game to test on vkd3d-proton though.

Quoting: Leopard3-) Nvidia performance will not likely improve. Nvidia is not eager to investigate/help perf issues with vkd3d-proton from what i get. Pascal/Turing and older has really bad perf with it and it won't change. Ampere is better but that is likely due to that lineup in general being better.Thats not entirely true. Death Stranding and Cyberpunk 2077 seems to run as expected on my pascal (GTX 1080Ti) at least... checking several youtube videos of people running the game on windows with same/similar hardware and i can see the perf is where it should be.. about ~15% worse on same settings.

Looking forward to Prodeus and Metro Exodus as well, even though the latter works perfectly in wine/proton and probably Prodeus also

Open source Linux instant-replay tool ReplaySorcery has some major upgrades

looks good but it seems to grab both of my screens. guess it needs configuring, also the framerate is shit on some stuff because of the whole screen capture.
OBS also has replay buffer feature, which works a lot better, but the only thing is that you have to do few clicks before you start your game, to capture the game window.
