Quoting: pete910i set it to 80 but i think its a bit too much.. its not the regular number.. 80 feels like 100+ in other gamesQuoting: XpanderFoV increased from the cfg fileNice!
What FOV have you set ?
Don't think I'll get to try it tonight though, IT'S HUGE!

Works really good here. 110+ FPS indoors and 80+ FPS outdoors
It crashed first when i change resolution and it was applying changes and i alt tabbed out. but now i can alt tab out without any issues.
Good port! Looks really good also. Super smooth!

More choice is always better!
Default Gnome is just awful imo (You don't have to agree ofc)

hopefully it runs as good or better than the windows version with wine. I managed to have around 80-100fps mostly @1440p with my GTX 1080Ti on the windows client, without RT ofc. So theres a hope that i can play around 100 FPS on this port also..
There were ofc places, like the first train stop where FPS in some areas droped down to 50ish, being completely CPU bottlnecked on those places.. but i had ryzen 1700X then, now with 3700X i hope its a bit better.
anyway looking forward to the release!

Amnesia: Rebirth gets an adventure mode for more thrill and less heart attacks

Quoting: parasurvAlien: Isolation has like 3 jumpscare (two what I can remember after many playthroughs). Compare to Outlast which is basically a very dumbed down horror game, sometimes with telegraphed jumpscares (about 20-30 at least).my definition for jumpscare is when you already know theres enemy lurking around and it just throws up random noises and the enemy jumps out of and killing you instantly.. but in A:I its not like in Outlast yeah, but still not scary at all after first encounter imo.. just annoying alien jumps out from places :D
A:I is probably the least jumpscary game, but maybe you have a different definition for it. :)

Alien Isolation first few moments were pretty nice in this game, the atmosphere and setting, but after first encounter it was just a jumpscare fest imo. Pretty boring if you ask me
Outlast - Generic story, jumpscare fest. Boring
>observer_ - Amazing story and really trippy :) loved it. I would put it into the ballpark with SOMA.
Layers of Fear - Nice visuals, generic and boring setting, didnt really hook me in. Didn't care about the person i was playing.
Haven't tried other games

Quoting: GuestSoma was really the best for me, man, what a story.SOMA is one of the best games ever made imo. It had exactly correct amount of Horror (aka not much). It was more of a atmosphere and the story that was really nicely done in this game.
I survived alien isolation, much fun, really!
Outlast, too much anxiety, stress and i hate to make things with too much hurry.
Call of Chtulhu: do you suggest it?
And finally, i gave up on the observer, not splatter, but man, it toke me soo bad.
Being in theme, i can suggest you Omen exitio, if you like Lovecraft, a nice and relaxing way to enjoy a good thrilling story.

These days competitive even doesn't matter. You buy what you can get your hands on with the price you are willing to pay. That being said there are pros and cons on both nvidia and amd side. Generally nvidia just works day one without any major issues.. has all the cuda and nvenc goodnes... on the other hand some bugs take longer to get fixed.
AMD is hit and miss imo. if everything clicks together and you dont need some special features like cuda or nvenc, then AMD is really good and performing well. Day one support is still a bit of problem and there are way more corner cases than with nvidia imo.

Nice to see things improving with the wheels. I personally never needed this tool with my Logitech G920 as i can set the steering ranges and stuff in the games anyway, but berarma is doing amazing work and i have used his ffb-tools to workaround some proton incompatibilities in the past.
Nice to see FANATEC support improving.. Probably my next step up with wheel will be something from FANATEC.

Finished Valheim Vulkan/Native (all bosses killed) couple of weeks ago. 125h of gametime. Without any massive building projects. Really great game. I like that exploration and discovery comes first in this and survival aspects are more of a secondary feature.
Warhammer Online (Return of Reckoning) wine/DXVK - My Go to MMORPG for some nice PvP action.
Thief (2014) Proton - Love the story and stealth mechanics. Completed chapter 5 currently. UI and stuff is a bit clunky but the gameplay under that is very good imo.
DiRT Rally 2.0 Proton - My racing game fix!
DOOM Eternal Proton - Still haven't completed it. Hate the platforming parts in this game, but love all the gunplay.
