Quoting: slaapliedjeNot sure what the immutable filesystem has to do with anything, you are aware you can pretty much do that with any distro at this point? You are getting worked up over a default setting and say that a comparable default setting doesn't have to do anything with the topic. Seriously?

Quoting: TuxeeWhat utilities are we talking about? The original argument falls flat even in comparison what Steam OS does that Arch does not – e.g. read-only root file system and preinstalled Steam client. Arch comes without preinstalled flatpak as well.

I've always wondered why they didn't implement that functionality sooner. They have to pay for the bandwidth – so it should be their priority to avoid duplicate downloads.

I've bought the 256 GB one since I didn't want to upgrade it at once and it's enough for the moment.

Quoting: KimyrielleI guess it's like back in the olden days when people had to actively decide what games to keep installed. :DWell… I think having many games installed at the same time actually keeps many people from playing them.

The other ones are automatically generated (by github) source code packages. They are always there for each tagged release of every project. The sizes has never been indicated since they were introduced – I assume it's because they don't really exist until the link is clicked.
You either have to compile the Linux version yourself following the instructions or wait until someone else does it for you.

Quoting: Linuxerwhat exactly do i do with all this? The first one is probably a precompiled version for Windows.

The list of supported games contains two items that hurt:
1) Red Faction II: What a bland game and horrible sequel to a fun game. The first one isn't without flaws, but it has good moments.
2) GTA 3: I'm still very annoyed with the way re3 was handled – probably only to promote the cheaply made remaster.

That's a big surprise.
We apologize for the inconvenience to our fans on Linux and appreciate their patience as we worked on a fix.And that is a surprise as well. Usually it's something like we are sorry that a minority of you didn't like what we did.
