The full release may be on GOG, but that's not certain, because it's GOG's choice. The EA version will probably not make it there, but I was told that it should be available on itch.io shortly after the Steam EA release.

It has come up on discord (several) times – either you love the CRT effect or you hate it. I belong to the second category. Only one person claims to be indifferent about it. ;-)
Canonical have released a statement on Ubuntu and 32bit support, will keep select packages

Take the VSTs mentioned before – some of them would be gone forever. The analog equivalent would be to destroy all specimen of a classic instrument e.g. all Stradivaris.

Quoting: MohandevirI think that we all agree that 32bit support has to go, but not yet.No. You may drop 32-bit support of you get every developer to release the source code in 64-bit compilable and working form (that includes compatible data formats – so many games and programs store data that contains pointers – so they are automatically out) for every closed source program that was ever released.

Canonical are now saying Ubuntu's 32bit is not being entirely dropped, 32bit libraries will be "frozen"

I tried the Steam flatpack last year on my Arch Linux desktop and some of the games (Train Valley and others I don't remember) that I tested had no sound, while the sound worked without a problem when I tested the same games outside of the flatpack.
I also don't like the general idea of an ecosystem of libraries that is outside of the control of the official package repo. It's creepy.

What are you playing this weekend and what do you think about it? It's mostly Dota Underlords for me

I've continued to have trouble varnishing wood. It's a painful trial as a family member sprayed water on the newly varnished surface that I put into the sun to dry.
I've helped a friend put in some drywall and played HyperRogue (new FPP mode makes me dizzy) and Renowned Explorers.

I'm quite pessimistic concerning GOG's way of handling things based on what I've seen over the last seven years, so I assume that they will fade out Linux releases without any official news.

The Diablo source recreation effort would be impossible without lib32, because the original source contains parts that are not 64-bit safe.

Quoting: arWe are not yet ready to drop 32 bit support. Canonical should know thisWhy “yet”? Why throw away support for older software? There are even open source projects that are not ready to be compiled as 64-bit executable.

Quoting: GuestSo I think there is no need to panic as long as they not include 32bit Software to be not supported any longer. But that's exactly what they said they are going to do. AKA shooting themselves in both feet.
And I don't think canonical is that dumb.
Non-Euclidean roguelike HyperRogue just had a huge update and you can now play in first-person

I still haven't played the new version – I've been busy with Pathway, gardening and varnishing/sanding wood – but the video and some of the previews I've seen on Discord during the last days make me feel queasy. I think I'll avoid the first-person mode.

Has anyone got any response from GOG/the publisher/the developers why the Linux version is not on GOG? I've been ignored by GOG.
