Ah, nice, this game has been on my Steam wish list for some time, though it seems it won't go lower than 5€. I'd need a deeper sale to buy it "just in case", as otherwise I'll just play my backlog meanwhile.
Other games in a similar situation before I decided to play them: Nier Automata, Bayonetta, Katamari Damacy. Others I keep an eye on: Vainquish, this one, and Subnautica.
It's a bit weird to me how some games never adjust their base asking price, even when they haven't been updated in 10-20 years (6 years here). Well, I guess inflation will eventually make them cheap enough.
Being released on GoG shows that they haven't forgotten about the game though, and I can justify a slightly higher asking price there.

Quoting: CatKillerInteresting, I will try to disable Bluetooth then, thanks for the tip. Though I shouldn't have anything currently connected 🤔Quoting: MayeulCAlso, is it just me, or does the steam deck OLED loses charge faster than the non-OLED when sleeping? The battery can be drained in 1 or 2 days. They should probably hibernate if the console hasn't been used in a few hours.I've not particularly looked into it, but the Bluetooth chip in the OLED stays powered when the device is in sleep for Bluetooth wake; I expect that would cause higher drain.

Hmm, I haven't encountered these bugs, but I was struggling to configure a radial menu yesterday, with the interface ignoring my clicks on "add menu item". The controller configurator is one of the buggoer areas in Steam, in my experience.

I am not sure the trackpads will be comfortable to use in this location.
It's interesting that they didn't go with AMD's Z series chip. This handled will probably be more powerful and use more power, though I hope they took the opportunity to include more than one USB port.

Kaspersky release a free Virus Removal Tool for Linux

It's interesting and promising to see a mainstream company releasing their mainstream closed-source software on Linux. This may also have to do with sanction on Russia and Russian companies helping people and companies move towards Linux there? Sadly I don't have any data on this.
However, as visible even in their press release, the biggest threats come from closed-source software. The xz vulnerability was identified in part thanks to its open source nature (part of the backdoor was never present in source code repositories, only in release tarballs). I would personally only trust FOSS antiviruses.
Be careful before handing the keys to your kingdom (root access) to any kind of software.
And I don't need to mention kaspersky's shady track record here, others have done so already.

Quoting: StalePopcornMaybe comments should be disabled since a pattern is already present, but Kaspersky are not doing operating from a country directly or indirectly involved in mass genocide, if we're going to be throwing rocks, remember that we're in a glass house.I don't want to start a flame war or highly (geo)political arguments here, but you should 1. look up the definition of genocide [External Link] 2. Have a look at https://icj-cij.org/case/182 [External Link] (hint: forced assimilation, killings, indoctrination and deportation of children fit the bill, collateral victims are a tragedy but not genocide). I'm quite sensitive about this topic.
VoxeLibre (formerly MineClone2) v0.87 released moving away from Minecraft

In Minecraft, you can also collect spider silk and assemble it to craft wool, that you can then use for the bed. Don't forget to get some coal for torches, mobs spawn in the dark. If you don't have the resources for a bed, you can spend night time digging for ore, crafting/smelting, etc.
Of course, there is a bit of joy in figuring that out for yourself. I remember my first few nights in Minecraft, they were very rough, spent waiting for daylight in a hole somewhere (that was more than 15 years ago).
Regarding MineClone diverging from Minecraft, I can understand, some things were hard to achieve with the Minetest engine, and not every Minecraft mechanic is worth emulating, IMHO. That said, it was an interesting stress-test for the engine, and I think it drove some of its development. Curious to see where this leads.

Quoting: blindcoderSounds like vanilla Minecraft TBH :)Quoting: PenglingThanks, I know that one, but it's, well, better than nothing, but just barely. I've spent in-game days (well, nights, really) holed up in a shed waiting for night to pass, because there was nothing else to do except go out and die because there's a dozen archers, several spiders and an exploding enemy or three.Quoting: blindcoderWill it ever get proper PLAYER documentation? Like what to do early, mid, late game? How to get X, Y, Z resource? You know, stuff that kids want to know when playing. There's a basic version of that on the Minetest wiki [External Link], though it's still under the old "MineClone 2" name right now.
Much, much later I learned that if you're lucky you can find sheep and if you're luckier still you can find a smidge of iron to craft shears and THEN make a bed. Maybe, I don't know, never found sheep.

Sony gives up on forcing PlayStation Network for Helldivers 2

The phrasing is weird. This update won't roll out? So will they publish it at a later date? Or are they abandoning their plans?
HELLDIVERS 2 will soon actually require a PlayStation Network account

Just when I was considering hopping on that bandwagon. I think I'll give it more thought if it requires yet another account.
