What are you clicking on this weekend? Come tell us

It's the weekend and hopefully some of you will find the time to relax and play some games. There's been a lot of new releases lately too!

For me, I'm a little torn.

The new Stoneshard update is really good, filled full of new content to play through and a lot of new weapons to try out. The brutal combat and setting certainly takes getting used to, along with the health system. I've lost count on the amount of times I've died in it over the last few days.

I also want to play a whole lot more Burning Knight simply because it's so incredibly fun to blast through. So much insane action when you manage to build up a list of items. Just look at how ridiculous it can be!

You know what? I'm clicking Play on Burning Knight as soon as this goes up…

Over to you: what will you be clicking on across this weekend and into next week? Let us know in the comments and suggest some good picks for your fellow GOL reader.

Been playing Metro Exodus all day, for a long time I thought it was a fully open world game, but I'm not disappointed that it's not either way.

Have recently been playing AoF: The Undead King GOLD and also have just started Depths of Peril. My current favourite, however, is Indivisible. A great-looking platformer!

Since I finally finished Chasm, I'm now steadily going through Pinstripe (a platformer with great art direction) and finally playing first Xcom reboot (plain vanilla no long war mods nor enemy unknown dlc yet).

Just finished TW3 (it's a very long game), so I started VirtuaVerse. It's pretty good, but some things are pretty hard to figure out.

As an "essential" worker, Covid has really taken a bite into my gaming time, especially with kids and spouse now present around me 100% of the time. So my gaming is in "maintenance" mode. Where I can, I'm playing:

X-Plane 11: Testing the updated (and super buggy) Ultra Weather XP add-on in Linux (and in Windows, BTW).

Battlefront Bad Company 2: Via Proton, Still my favorite BF thus far. It's always bugged me that I never got good at sniping in that game, and now Im finally (and satisfyingly) passable...

FTL: I occasionally go back to this since I'm a space and sci-fi person, and because I think I should like it, but I can never escape the feeling like I'm playing a gigantic spreadsheet, and that if I lose, it's because I don't have the encyclopedic knowledge of the races, parts, and ships that's necessary to plug into the Sheets/Excel battle to win... Is "Bomber Crew" more fun? Where's my Battlecruiser 3000 remake for the 2020's, but fun?

I've been playing Cities Skylines, I knew that if I waited long enough the game would go on sale for real cheap eventually, and that finally came to pass recently on Humble Bundle.
I forgot how stressed out I get when playing city management games. The one thing I hate the most is managing traffic, no matter how many roundabouts I add, or how much I widen the lanes, or how many routes I add, there is always jams somewhere which slowly kill the cities I make.

I'm divided between Fallout 4 and Greedfall, maybe I'm going back to Elex or Outward ... I'll do some missions here and there ... XD

Quoting: Odisej
Quoting: omicron-bStar Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Wine)

Did you manage to solve the issue with music not playing?
I use Ubuntu 20.04 for Wine games that don't run via Proton on my Debian.
Back on 18.04 I had to install libmpg123-0:i386 for some games to have sound, this package provides MP3 support in 32-bit Wine prefixes.
On Ubuntu 20.04 it is already installed, probably as a dependency of Wine, so everything works out of the box for me.

I finally started watch dogs via proton, after years of ownership. It's now a one click experience, but I suspect a significant performance drop compared to the windows version.
