This Unity to Godot importer has me a little excited

There's a lot to be interested and excited about when it comes to Godot Engine, the free and open source game engine and now Unity game devs may want to keep watch. Shared on Twitter, which seems to have raised the eyebrows of and excited many developers, is a new project that aims to let you import Unity projects into Godot. 

Pictured above is the rather large POLYGON Fantasy Kingdom Unity environment, which is used as one of the examples on the GitHub page of the project. Currently it seems to have been tested working on macOS and Windows, so hopefully anyone doing Linux will be willing to give it a run. This could be a really interesting boost for Godot Engine and FOSS development, if the project continues to go well.

According to the project it so far has all this implemented:

Do you know any games using Godot? Would be interested to have a look at them. Official site doesn't seem to mention any games using it, but maybe I missed it.

edit: Actually - found a list of last year games mentioned here: https://youtu.be/watch?v=UAS_pUTFA7o

Brotato being one of of them - hugely successful game. Seems Godot is already pretty significant player.

Yes, definitely missed it, seen their youtube account first which does a good job.
Godot is becoming a force to be taken seriously, that's for sure. I remember it from 2014 - seems it made big leaps forward since then.

there is also Sonic Colors Ultimate wich combined their own code written in C with an custom built of godot that they used internally and called it something else in the relase, but people dumping the files and trying to reverse then to mod and stuff quickly realized it was made on godot.

Yes, I've actually corrected myself and listed the link in the post you quoted that already contains a lot, though not all of those games. But I think as an example to get the general idea it's enough. that was my point, to get to see the actual games
The games definitely look better than from RPG maker, yet they still carry a little scent of cheap indie in them - But that's likely not the problem of the engine, rather a feature of the games. The engine is capable of full 3d as I've seen already. And it's only going to get better.

Hmm so again they violated the license, sad but *the norm* for corporations - and it's going to continue as FOSS has no legal chance to enforce itself because reasons .
