The Warhammer Skulls Showcase has come along again, and we've got multiple new announcements plus you can grab a free game! Here's just some of the announcements that were made.

Firstly, you want the freebie right? Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War from Proxy Studios is 100% free for keeps on Steam. The first turn-based 4X strategy game set in the Warhammer universe and a lot of fun, it has Native Linux support too. Plus there's a new Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Demolition Pack DLC adding in 11 new units.

We have a fresh game announcement too with Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II now on the way:

After millennia of slumber, Vargard Nefershah mobilises her dynasty’s legions to annihilate the Adeptus Mechanicus interlopers who unknowingly settled upon her world. Across the galaxy, Magos Dominus Faustinius is summoned to bring his hard-won expertise to bear and ensure the Necrons do not succeed. The conflict soon becomes a crucible of unanticipated significance, drawing to it external actors stranger and more deadly still.

In an exciting addition for the sequel, players will not just be battling as the Adeptus Mechanicus against the awakening of a Necron tomb world, but will also be able to fight as the Necrons for the resurgence of their dynasty , with both sides now fully playable over multiple campaigns.

Looks like it will not have Native Linux support like the first game, with the publisher specifically mentioning it's for Windows PC. So you'll need to use Proton.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun (which was a lot of fun on Steam Deck) is getting a Forges of Corruption DLC:

I'm pretty lucky the last few days; turn based 4X type games are my thing, and first there's Endless Legend for free (which I'm quite enjoying) and now the Warhammer Gladius thing which is probably fun and I will definitely try. Neither of which I would have heard of without GamingonLinux, so thanks very much.

I love me some co-op campaign games!

Also, a vehicle combat game would be fun. I haven't found a good one that works on Linux. Back in the day, I liked Vigilante 8. Twisted Metal was more popular, but I didn't like that one as much.
