Everything is Crab takes action roguelite survivor-like gameplay in a really silly direction - evolving a creature into an abomination. Note: personal purchase.
If you've played (and enjoyed) any twin-stick roguelite and some of the survivor-like bullet heaven / bullet hells that have been cropping up everywhere, this is the next game you need to put on your list. With a similar setup to others - you start off with the most basic character and gradually get bigger and stronger as you take down various other creatures and level up.
Here it's all about evolution! Eat the competition! The more you eat, the more you will level up and evolve and this is where the real fun is. There's over 125 different evolutions, and each one comes with its own buffs to your character that will also change how your character looks. To the point that you can end up looking pretty ridiculous.
I've been surprised by just how deep down the rabbit hole this one goes. This is easily one of the most replayable games I've ever encountered. Challenging too, there's all sorts of different creatures with their own strengths and weaknesses you need to learn how to overcome, and then there's big boss battles too which are also a lot of fun. You just really don't know what you're going to be facing off against each time you jump in, and each time you can go through a completely different evolutionary path to create something truly unique.
Making it even more challenging is the day and night cycle, which makes it a lot more difficult to see what's around you. But, true to the mechanics of it, you can evolve to get better during the night too.
As you go through it and beat a bunch of challenges you'll also unlock more varied difficulty modes, different genetics for your starting character and endless mode where you have to beat the apocalypse. There's even a casual exploration mode to take it all a bit more chilled.

The developer announced it hit over 100K sales pretty early on too, nice to see another success.
It's a really intoxicating mixture and one I don't want to put down. I've been putting hours into this across both my desktop and Legion Go with Bazzite. Simply a must buy. I could happily just sit and play this all day and try out all the different combinations.
