Here's a missed one from Friday, Microsoft has joined the Open 3D Foundation, who oversee the Open 3D Engine that's a free and open source updated version of Amazon Lumberyard that was contributed by Amazon.

After being available in Early Access since May 2021 and Preview since February 2022, Epic Games has today released Unreal Engine 5 which will no doubt go on to power some of the biggest upcoming releases.
