I see in differents articles that some GoL's users said there are AAA games which will release on Linux this years. Where have you see this ?
View PC info
1) Articles refer to games officially announced. Examples of big titles officially announced:
- Street Fighter 5
- Tomb Raider 2013
- Rocket League (which was meant to be released in 2015 but now is planned for Q2 2016
- General list of games that was announced to be released on 2015 but is not yet complete what I described in my article some time ago.
2) Some articles refer to games that seem to be prepared for Linux based on the SteamDB "linux" information:
- Mad Max
- DiRT Rally
- F1 2015
- Evolve
3) Some articles refer to games that are going to be released (but sadly very often without day 1 support):
- Ashes of Singularity
- Shadow Warrior 2
4) Some articles refer to games that are not officially released, but may be released:
- Arma 3 (that is available in beta since August 2015
5) Some articles refer to accidental releases:
- Already covered in this topic F1 2015
6) There is a special topic for 1 game - The Witcher 3. It was officially confirmed by Valve twice, but never officially confirmed by CD Projekt RED. For this one we have special thread on the forum.
@berillions I hope I've mostly answered your question.
Unless you consider indie games like Firewatch,SUPERHOT AAA Titles.
(they are very good games)
They are like 25-50 games that are a must play for 2016 but unfortunately AAA companies are looking for Profit instead of supporting other platforms.
I think better make a topic for 2017 or at least when vulkan is completely implemented to the game engines we may have a better luck :D
