Corsair Link
calfret Jun 3, 2017
Ok, so I have finally dropped the dough. I have components inbound. I have many Corsair brand items including the PSU, RGB Ram, H100i cooler, and neato mosquito Crystal series case with glowy fans.

Corsair provides a program called Corsair Link, but it is only for Windows. So I looked around a bit for an open source alternative. https://github.com/groeck/lm-sensors/issues/16

As you can see there, the new Ryzen processors do not seem to be supported by this old project. Apparently AMD has their stuff closed to the public.

So what are my options? Ideally I would like to monitor and control temps, fans, and LED's. It doesn't have to be pretty, and it doesn't have to be inside of a GUI.

ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero
AMD Ryzen 1700x CPU
EVGA Nvidia Geforce 1070, GPU
Corsair HX750i PSU
Corsair RGB Vengeance (I think?)
Corsair H100i cooler
Corsair Crystal 570x case

Ubuntu Mate 16.04 (I think this is the current LTS, so I'm gonna try and go with that to see if I can make everything work the way I want)

sensors are fine if you build the latest it87, its just not included by default with kernel 4.11, maybe they will go into 4.12

corsair link has linux version also, but very basic and reverse engineered afaik.
