And it has begun! You have whole week to get your times in, so there better be more participants this time around :D

and completed by me. this was total fun :D very similar feeling like i have had on the winters on the iceroads here in real life with an old RWD vehicle.

no big issues on the stages, 1 spin on the 6th stage, everything else was pretty much clean with some corners went too wide ofc, but yeah suprisingly good run, maybe i was too cautios?..but was hell a lot of fun.

done as well, after a awful first stage I was able to reasonably drive the car albeit quite cautious till the end of the event without major incidents. A fun event overall.

Me done as well, very cautious driving, not too comfy with either the 70's cars or the Sweden tracks. A few spins here and there, including one fantastic 720, and one reset after I drove off a bridge in stage 4 :p

Satisfied with my result :D

Considering I spent more time on pause than driving due to various distractions, I did all right. The Stratos was trying very hard to kill me, but I managed to hold on somehow. While Edmene edged past me on the last stage, I'm still surprised and happy I managed to finish even third despite my numerous and constant spins and mistakes.

Sweden is my least favourite venue in this game, but I think I'm going to stick with the Lancia for the season. It's hard to control but tons of fun. I've only driven the Opel in this class before and while it's not a bad car, it's feels very stiff and kinda boring. Also the Lancia sounds better. ;)

My car went flying in Monaco again. I really need a flying car.

Hmmm, I seem to have forgotten about the first one!

No points for me this time. Because of this

Nothing like the wonderful Monaco and its tight roads that leads either to rocks or flying through a cliff.

I survived. \o/

I think I even managed to granny a couple of stages without needing to reverse at all! The wet night stage was a nightmare though, especially after destroying my headlights right at the beginning. I got stuck on a bank at one point and reversed over the finish line on that one.
Xpander 9 Aug 2017
Monaco done by me also. 3 spins in total, 1 with reverse needed. overall pretty clean run.
i would drive stratos also if i hadn't change how the gas pedal works, its the only car that needs different setup for this, im too lazy to switch between when im driving with different cars :D

Never a Monaco run without getting stuck on top of some snow... :P

Doesn't seem like extending the events made a difference. Hard to say if the constantly diminishing amount of participants is due to summer holidays or just Dirt Rally getting "old" and people moving on. I hope we can keep this going anyway. These league events are pretty much the only reason I keep coming back to this excellent game every week.

Off topic: Someone should arrange something similar for Rocket League. That's another game I really enjoy but almost never play. And I do mean similar: Just for fun, no pressure, flexibly scheduled, friendly matches with leaderboards of some sort for those who care.
Xpander 13 Aug 2017
Yeah, might be the summer holidays, might be that its getting old for some.
Will see how it turns out, im more than happy to run some more seasons, cause i still enjoy the game.

Summer may not help indeed. Of course, it also doesn't help if I keep forgetting to actually drive. :dizzy:

Got through Greece early this week :D

Was feeling somewhat satisfied with my performance through the first six stages, but the last two.... One reset for each, and a flat tire halfway through the last one. At least I didn't lose the wheel until I could see the finish line :D
Xpander 17 Aug 2017
Greece done by me also, couple of half spins, some spins, 1 penalty due spectators and small crash into cars

I watched the first stage, very impressive how fast you can drive while staying in control.

He is quick, no way around it. For my own peace of mind, I tell myself that part of that control is afforded by the feel and feedback from his wheel and pedal setup. I mean I often feel like I know what I'd need to do but just can't. There's a reason we don't drive real cars with a couple of triggers and a thumb stick.

But I repeat, I don't think I'd be anywhere as fast as he is with a wheel, just much closer.

Well Xpander is consistently faster than all of us. Indeed very impressive.

I know the felling, especially without using assists.

Finally done. Had some super lucky runs, even got the fastest time on one stage and that made my day. Of course not all of the runs were equally lucky. I finished one stage on my roof (that was weird) and another one backwards. I wish I'd recorded it all.

Still having fun BTW. I have to say I really love this game to bits, and it's all thanks to this community. <3
