Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition finally works on Proton with some little tweaks:
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1474

Two more games I can delete from my Steam wine prefix.

Quoting: chancho_zombieI have a game that's been removed from the store. How can I add it. it's Falling skies .[https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/falling-skies-the-game-review/1900-6415917/](https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/falling-skies-the-game-review/1900-6415917/)
I bought 2 games that are now removed from the Steam Store: Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition et Dark Souls PTDE.
No one could buy them any more on Steam but they are still available in my library and I can still download them if necessary.
You are talking about this game?

If you bought it on Steam you should still be able to download & install it, I have a couple of games that have also been removed from the store & still download.

Anno 1404 Gold works fine provided you install DirectX in the wine directory for it using the usual WINEPREFIX trick. Don't have the exact command in front of me but you will find it on the user google sheet with game compatibility statuses.

Quoting: lucifertdarkQuick question, is anyone else having trouble getting game controllers to work with Proton enabled games? I have two different controllers, a generic xbox360 controller & the Steam Controller, they both work with native games & steam in Big Picture mode so I know it's not the controllers, any clues would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 360 wired controller and other than Quantum Break it has worked very well with Proton.
No issue with Skyrim and Doom with my 360 controller.

I managed to fix it by deleting the folder that holds the config files for controllers & re-adding the controller to steam, it was something I'd done trying to use an xbox controller as well as the steam controller.
Quoting: EMO GANGSTERanyone know any tricks to stop The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit from closing in steam with Steam Play it startup but closes game a short time after starting
That game is Denuvo infected...
Spoiler, click me
Which doesn't make sense, because is a FREE TO PLAY... But, We are talking about Square Enix, so...

Anyway. Have you try to play the game with Steam client in offline mode?
According to one entry at [SPCR](https://spcr.netlify.com/app/845070), that is how the game works fine.

I played it in Wine+DXVK (before Proton was released), it worked fine.

Bet you were using a more recent version of Wine than 3.7 like the version Steam Play is using.

If set to WinXP, does Batman work with DX9 renderer only, or DX11+DXVK is still possible?

Right now it's set up for WinXP & DX9 for me.. I'll just fire up the setup & try changing it to Win7 DX11 then let you know how that works out for me..

EDIT: I need to get into a fight & see how well it does with multiple characters all moving about on screen but it's looking good so far with Win7 & DX11+DXVK.

DX11+DXVK if you activated directx11 option in the Batman windows parameter.
If you want to show DXVK infos in game, right click on Batman game in your library, properties, general tab, launch option and type:
DXVK_HUD=version,devinfo,fps %command%
With Wine you can play directx11 games on Windows XP, yes I know it's unusual.
I wonder if [Syndrome](https://store.steampowered.com/app/409320/Syndrome/) works...

Good to know, PC Gaming Wiki now indicates proton info like the location of the Proton Prefix and game config file, for example: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Age_of_Empires_III

Quoting: GuestThey also updated wine in Proton as well.
Just a few fixes, not actually a release upgrade.

But could that fix in mouse.c also have something to do with the mouse problem in Overwatch? In that case some of this stuff needs to go upstream!

I am looking forward to that as well, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat requires that to work with DXVK on Proton.
Life is Strange 2, anyone?

It starts but crashes after after about 30 seconds once you are in game.
Denuvo, I guess.
ageres 28 Sep 2018
Quoting: GuestI see people say Denuvo is the cause for some game incompatibility but there are games that work that have it as well so that doesn't make much sense to me. Case in point, MGS the phantom pain works and it has denuvo according to its steam page
There are different versions of Denuvo, they may behave differently on Linux and Wine. I'm not sure if it's Denuvo what prevents LIS2 from running on Linux, but who knows, maybe it is? Anyway, you either buy LIS2 now and give your money to Japanese EA (Square Enix) and Denuvo or wait for a port by Feral. I'll do the latter.
