BL3 had the most unbearable writing I’ve ever seen. Listen characters speaking was such a nightmare and unpleasant experience.

Seems the writing was order by someone that does not like its job.

We’ve also encounter the file name case problem when I was trying to use/work with OpenSage on Linux.

I had to write (actually hack) a tiny wrapper over the file names to « simulate » how Windows (non)handle characters.

To avoid constant FS check, I also had to write a tiny relation cache system when a file was actually found.

In the end, we though it would be more interesting to parse the packed data at startup and create the file name relation map on disk once.

Good luck ! I can’t wait to play CnC GH again !

I was disapointed by Halo TMCC netcode because I couldn't cross play with my friends (me on Linux, them on Windows).

It was working few seconds (10s) then crash because of a "network problem".

Sad.

Quoting: whizseRemember, this is a project that was deemed a “a waste of time”. The developer was told they “couldn’t do it and should work on something else”.
And he was 17yo when he started it:

Quoting: whizseThat really annoyed me, and like, I know I was pretty young (17) at the time, but I felt like I was being treated like some dumb kid. So I started D9VK as a spite project that night in my hotel room.
This is how you get those amazing peoples that gives wonderful piece of software to us, poor mortals.
