As a recent SteamOS convert, I can highly recommend it. I love it so much more than having Ubuntu installed on my HTPC.

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

Quoting: ShmerlWhich would mean they won't be able to use CP2077 engine for TW3 without some huge effort.
Having worked in game dev in the past I can confirm this. Often the in-house engine forms the basis for the game, but then gets tweaked to suit the game in question. Once development is over for that game, certain parts of the modified engine are cherry picked and added to the base engine repo, and then a new game is built from that. So yeah, probably not possible.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

From that comment, it sounds absolutely like regressions or rendering artifacts in UE4, which will require workarounds, or maybe they'll just wait until they get fixed (more likely)

Quoting: buenaventuraSounds awesome, too bad I do not have the CPU for it :< minimum req is quite beefy actually. For no reason. I wish they used infinity engine.
Really? You must have a pretty old CPU. I played Pillars of Eternity (same engine) on a 1.9Ghz Intel i5 laptop from 4 years ago, with a weak HD4000 iGPU and was able to play it fine. The laptop ran pretty hot, but was otherwise Ok.

Their engine is MUCH more visually attractive than the old infinity engine (I've been playing the enhanced editions recently)...it's really very pretty. There's no need to look back!
