Huh, not sure how I missed this, it looks a lot like Rust, but with competent developers. Wishlisted.

Looks like Valve sent out quite a lot of Steam Deck developer kits

Looking at my Steam library, specifically at games with full controller support, I'm leaning towards The Long Dark. Might give Metro Exodus another chance, hopefully I won't get bitten by the Caspian Sea lighthouse glitch and lose all my items again.. Then there's Graveyard Keeper, something which I've been meaning to pick up again...

Is there any interest in switching the Arch/Ubuntu-based groups to a pkg/deb/rpm/portage-based groups? If not, any chance of adding Red Hat-based and Gentoo-based groupsto the existing graphs?

I find the whole 'review bombing is not allowed' thing rediculous. If you've bought the game and are displeased with it, then leaving a negative review is entirely acceptable. If hundreds/thousands of people all do the same, then so be it. Game devs/publishers shouldn't be able to bury their heads in the sand and cry foul just because gamers aren't happy with them.

BattlEye confirms Linux support for Steam Deck, will be opt-in like Easy Anti-Cheat

Clearly Valve have been making waves with the Steam Deck announcement -- big industry players, previously indifferent (at best) towards Linux gaming, are now starting to see the light. Hopefully there will be a large percentage of developers that "opt-in" to the proton support, and those that don't get consigned to the history books as short-sighted naysayers.

Personally I don't give a flying fuck about anticheat, but this is still good news for those who play online multiplayer games.

Minecraft has a proper snapshot up now for Caves & Cliffs: Part II

Gave up on Minecraft a while ago when the official launcher started depending on gtk3 (). However, I've just given ATLauncher [External Link] a try, and it works even better than the official launcher did. May have to give this new snapshot a try.

Make sure you include "tools" in your library listing:

Then search for valheim:

Not installed it myself, but I imagine it "Just Works". If not, you may need to navigate to the download location in a terminal and run a script or binary from there.

EDIT: Enabling tools listing might not be required, it seems the search will include any category of result.
