Quoting: omer666Again, you seem to be a CS player. Fatal1ty himself used acceleration extensively on Quake 3.
See: http://fatal1ty.com/fatal1ty-frags-blog-3rd-frag-mouse-sensitivity/ [External Link]
But indeed you are right, a flawless sensor allows you at least to disable it completely.
well actually i play both Quake Live and CS:GO

Quoting: micmonDoes the mouse keep the DPI setting after a reboot or does it need to be adjusted each time?
Never heard of any mouse that resets dpi settings on reboot lol, i don't even think it's possible to do that, especially with driverless mice

Quoting: InokiNot sure I understood everything correctly, but if it doesn't support acceleration it definitely wouldn't end up on my desk since I need that feature.

I don't care about the trash talk people do about acceleration, mostly because they haven't discovered its potential and how beneficial it actually can become
there's 2 kinds of mouse accelleration, the one that's calculated by the OS, which can be used on any mouse, and the one inherited by the sensor, the one inherited by the sensor is the one i'm talking about, since it's always a bad thing, can not be turned off, and are inconsistent(not always the same at the same speed), while the one calculated (using a perfect sensor) CAN be controlled since it's consistent, though it's harder to controll than no accelleration

also i still dislike mouse accelleration, i've used it for many, many years, and only a week after disabling it i noticed my K/D ratio increasing rapidly, it's much easier to controll and therefor makes it easier to aim, for desktop use it can be handy, but for gaming i'd say mouse accelleration should be off always, unless you haven't got enough room for your mouse to move larger distances and still need to be accurate

Quoting: InokiLooks much like a pure copy of the old MS Intellimouse Explorer 1.1A by Microsoft.
all zowie mice do, they keep the old but gold design of older mice, and add 'flawless' sensors
(no jitter at high-dpi, low Lift of Distance, no mouse acceleration, no mouse smoothing, no angle snapping, no input lag) to it with great quality switches, it's what makes them so good, a high-quality, no-frills mouse
