Steam Hits The Big 500 For Linux Games

Weird, if you do this search [External Link] it shows 500, but yours shows 495 for me as well.
That's probably because the 500 counter includes unreleased games as well. When sorting by release date, these games disappear. I'm just speculating though, because among the games with no release date is Gear Up as well as Prison Architect or Metro: Last Light, while the latter two are obviously available, only have the date broken. So yeah, let's just stick to the official counter at http://store.steampowered.com/browse/linux/ [External Link] :-)
Damn...660 games!

If game is bad port from console, it will run badly on all platforms.
I think this is problem that should be dealt with first.
Didn't dudes on Windows also cry about bad Witcher 2 performance?
Or is it even worse on Linux?
Thing is, that Steam is going to be a "console for PC", so we'll probably even see worse ports to linux ;-).
Quiet contrary sir. Steam being a Console, will reduce all major problems for devs(random OSs, big variety of hardwares...) so in a few years we will play in well otimized games for PC on SteamOS.

New users will come, because "build ur PC" will not be a problem to noobs. and so on
Except the variety of hardwares is still going to be present; since there will be multiple Steam machines (multiple manufacturers), and not just one.
Not that great variety, as majority will sell only last released products from Nvidia/AMD & Intel.
