Project Killswitch sales suspended as the kickstand messed with the Steam Deck fan

Quoting: TheRiddickI don't understand how that kickstand in the image above can mess with the fan.. Unless it was putting pressure on the fan area causing fan spin issues (shouldn't be a issue to begin with!)
IMHO, it is caused by strong neodymium magnets in the stand that interfere with the fan rotor.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw and some reflection on Steam Reviews

As a rule of thumb, I almost only read bad comments (like 1 star on amazon), it is easier to see if the person commenting is completely out of their mind or completely miss the point. The thing is, it works if the overhaul product have enough reviews and an average score or better.

Not too sure about the drift reviews concerns about being too "arcady".

Quoting: BogomipsI still don't understand why nobody wants to take the ortholinear route as an option.

Fortunately, a lot of custom keyboards are available in the OS/OH world but still not cheap and for tech savvy people.
I present you: https://www.zsa.io/planck [External Link]
Small, portable, mechanical, open source, completely customizable in layout/button functionality & keycaps ortholinear keyboard.
That being said, I still wouldn't use it as my main kb. It's fantastic for portability though. Just imagine this with a ~14" portable monitor, a 10 yr warranty USB dock [External Link], and a Steam Deck. All you need for a portable office + spectacular gaming station. :woot: Oh, and maybe a trackball mouse [External Link].
Spoiler, click me
I haven't tested it. Feel free to send me one! XD

I'm with you guys. As much as I want to trade in my Logitech G910 kb for a ZSA Moonlander, I like the 9 extra G keys, number pad, multimedia keys, and especially the volume roller. I wish it had better software support and even more G keys.

---
System76 thinks they're cleaver by releasing a 67 somethingsomething, don't they?!

306.5mm x 107.5mm is still too big compared to the ZSA Planck measuring 234mm x 82mm which they claim is pocket size.
I do like a few extra keys but, it still feels like it fits into this weird middle area.

---

Keep in mind that the QMK keyboard firmware that S76 forked allows any key to be mapped to any other key so you can still have a number pad, multimedia keys, et. al. You just have to hit an extra key to get there (and maybe get back). It's just a matter of playing around with different layouts. :D
I know the ZSA keyboards I considered an ergodox for a while ^^
Strangely I am fully ortholinear with a very old G13, a TypeMatrix 2030 and a N305 numpad.

And somewhere in boxes ready to be soldered a Lily58 with nice nano v2 and zmk with gateron ink black is waiting for me.
I'm still not sure if it will be ok for me with the layout shifting but why not.

What I would love to see is an ortholinear option for laptops, because for work I have a TypeMatrix on top of a MBP keyboard, it is fine but cumbersome.

Owners of Dying Light get upgraded to the Enhanced Edition, final patch out now

Quoting: BogomipsMy Dying Light broke two updates ago. I now have a black and brown screen with the background music.
Three standard things to try:

  • Try adding the launch option -nologos to skip the intro movie, faster loading and can help with black screen/white loading bar crash. (bonus points, this works in Dying Light 2 also)
Right-click on Dying Light in your Steam Library -> Properties -> Launch Options.

  • If using the Linux native version, try the SLR compatibility tool (Steam Linux Runtime) which uses older libraries to help older games work on modern distros.
Find it in game Properties -> Compatibility

  • You can also use Proton to play the Windows version, it likely runs better as well. Also found in game Properties -> Compatibility.
- Of course the -nologos is always a must have ;)

- I didn't know that the SLR could be found in the compatibility tools thanks.

- I never had any problem with the native version so this is a last resort (and not needed here, I found a solution).

I recommend Proton. I had the same problem when I first started playing it a few months ago. Works just fine in proton.
Not for me, I used the native version since day one of Dying Light and had some chat with the support team because it took at least 15 days to fix my problems after the game was launched but everything went well after that.

So, thanks to protondb I found a solution for a problem caused by the NVIDIA drivers (>470) according to the post there.

I fixed my problem with the following launch options:

__GL_IGNORE_GLSL_EXT_REQS=1 __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1 %command% -nologos

Quoting: BogomipsMaybe trimester would have been easier to understand?

I'm confused that it needs to be explained but English is not my native language so…
Unfortunately it would have been incorrect. A year has three trimesters (hence "tri"), but four quarters.
Nope, trimester means three months and a year is composed of 12 months. A quarter (1/4) means one of something divided by four (a year, a cake, money).
