Saints Row 2 Looks Like It's Coming To Linux

Hm... I was recently wondering about Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, because it got a bunch of encrypted depots at about the same time as Saints Row IV. So maybe they're porting them all?

Pillars Of Eternity: The White March Part I Now Available

Yeah, DLCs kept me from buying this game as well (similarly with Civ:BE and some others). I'll wait till everything is out and buy some Complete Collection at -75%. Though looking at CK2 and EU4 it may take years if not (nomen omen) eternity...

Maybe I could buy the game + expansion pass (did that with BL:TPS), but afaik it covers only White March 1+2, and not any other expansions if they decide to release them, right?

I'm ~66% into Shadow of Mordor and I find it quite entertaining. The Talos Principle is better (because of the depth) but I've already finished it and it doesn't really have much replay value, aside from getting some missed achievements.

Quoting: MamboAny opinion about Coffin Dodgers vs BlazeRush?
I played ReVolt as a kid, would like to find something fun with a large choice of tracks.
Both are fun, but Blaze Rush is much better in my opinion. Coffin Dodgers is just your random kart game, fun for a while but lacks variation. Blaze Rush is more like Micro Machines - five or so different worlds, each world has quite a few different tracks. The game has three play modes (simple race - rather annoying; king of the hill - quite fun, and death race - definitely the strongest feature of the game, providing the most fun in multiplayer); single player campaign also features "beat the clock" tracks.

So, if you like kart races and have some spare change - get both of them. If you have to choose, get BlazeRush.

The Flock Will Only Be Playable For A Limited Time, Releasing For Linux This Year

What a tremendously stupid idea.

[edit] If the game turns out *good*, I can easily predict people buying several dozen copies, then dying a million times so the game is pulled from the store, and then selling these copies with 200%+ profit. So I hope the game turns out really bad and nobody cares about it.

Thoughts On The Final Steam Controller

I have mixed experience with gaming on TV. I had big hopes for playing strategy games, but titles like Civilization V, Crusader Kings II, Empire: Total War - all have really tiny text in 1920x1080 resolution, so I have to size it down to the point that everything barely fits on the screen, for the text to be readable, at which point it's a much better idea to just play on my laptop at 1600x900...

FPS and Arcade games, on the other hand, are a prefect fit. In Talos Principle, even though there's lots of reading on the terminal, the text is perfectly legible from the couch. Borderlands 2 - similarly, the text size is just right at 1920x1080. I really hope that new releases (esp. strategy games) will be better adapted to Steambox & couch gaming.
