Sadly its still missing gnome tweaks, its the only thing keeping me from daily driving this thing, I want my window buttons and my own fonts.

That sucks, I never had that problem I think I had a 570 back then, and it worked fine. Only similar bug I had is if I enabled nvidia image sharpening for the desktop it flickered like crazy. But now with the 500 series drivers I cant use 120hz anymore just 60hz same problem in windows with the 500 series drivers also, so I will be stuck with older drivers maybe for a long while sigh, so yeah they are very slow at fixing problems, for some reason I cant use Gsync with displayport to hdmi adapter either.

I hope they finally ironed out the old bug with mouse warping all over the screen with my nvidia card, its been a showstopper for me for ages now. And sadly nvidia 510 wont let me run 120hz I am stuck at 60hz, same with windows 511 driver, had to downgrade both on linux and windows.

I wonder if that means hdr support is coming. And I also hope they will make wayland usable with nvidia cards too.

No, sorry. There is no performance hit by Plasma with compositing suspended. It is simply ~impossible. It doesn't turn off (reliably and) automatically in some cases, in which you need to do it manually via shift + alt + f12. Sucks (will be better on Wayland), but at least compositing can be forced off and on that way. There haven been cases where fullscreen unredirect was unreliable with Gnome Mutter, be it not turning off in games or not staying on with browser in fullscreen.

Plasma works fine with Nvidia, I don't find any compositor/DE to work better (only worse, e.g. Mutter when moving multiple windows).
Without Akonadi/Kmail, plasma also consumes only <500MB of RAM. Works fine on my 4GB device.

Well its not about fullscreen undirect etc, its about how mutch resources is being consumed in the background kde is cpu intensive, and what do you mean impossible its what happens, games run mutch smoother on gnome for me. Well I cant even get latte to work correctly on wayland kde, and there is tons of other bugs, while gnome is almost bug free in wayland on nvidia.

Well its in aur and chaotic aur, and manjaros official repo, so 50% of distros or so its already there without having to resort to a crappy snap or flatpak.

These kinds of comments are not nice nor constructive. Snaps and or flatpaks have given help to so many new comers on moving to Linux.

Well snap/flatpaks makes for a really bad first experience for a new user so not really, they are slow and very buggy and way harder to find where they actually put their files, and some are sandboxed which is horrible for a new user. Think I never used a snap or flatpak that didnt constantly crash on me.

Sorry, but no. I'm writing this on an ultra slow Gemini Lake device with Arch, and Gnome 41 performance makes it completely unusable on both Xorg and Wayland. Plasma Wayland is far, far better optimized.
Wayland gaming is not yet a thing, as buffer modifier issues currently prevent direct scanout from working. On Xorg, you can just disable KWin compositing entirely and any game is 0 affected by Plasma.

Never tried wayland Latte dock always bug out and don't work good with wayland, and overall kde with nvidia on wayland is way to buggy, gnome is fine, but I find games to be buggier on wayland so I usually run x11.
