Happy birthday, GOL!
Ever since I discovered this site, it has quickly become my favorite place for my daily gaming news fix, and it played a big part in my decision to make the switch from Windows to Linux.
So, thank you, and I wish you many more happy birthdays!

Not only is it charming, colourful and funny it's also narrative-heavy.
Absolutely wonderful idea. Doing quests to build material for jokes, can't wait to see the full game.I love the idea! I'll definitively be keeping my eye on this one.
I'm adding it to my wishlist!
PS1-styled horror 'Alisa' is fully funded and coming to Linux

I also enjoyed Fear Effect, it had a great atmosphere, and it looked amazing with cel-shaded graphics.
I know that a Fear Effect remake/remaster is in the making, but it looks like the development has stalled.
Anyway, Alisa certainly looks promising. It really captures the spirit of Resident Evil, with just the right amount of silliness.

I love a good horror game it's made in the spirit of classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, complete with all those fixed camera angles we all used to enjoy right? Well, some of us anyway. That makes two of us.

Very excited about this one! I love the idea of being able to design monuments myself!
It looks like the first proper (and long overdue) spiritual successor to Caesar III/Pharaoh/Zeus/Emperor.
I wonder if it will have the wittiness of the old games. Like, when you right-click on citizens, there's always a witty comment, wonderfully voice acted, that gives you insight about what's going on in the city.
And those funny citizen names, like actors Paulus Novahomus and Tomas Hancus in Caesar III, or water-carriers Abbottos and Costellos in Zeus.

Just when I thought this bundle couldn't get any better!

Bought the bundle!
Night in the Woods and Celeste were at the top of my wishlist for some time, but there are so many great games in this bundle I'm looking forward to playing, like Oxenfree, A Short Hike, Wide Ocean Big Jacket, Quadrilateral Cowboy and more.
I had some of these titles for Windows already, but this bundle certainly makes my transition to Linux a lot smoother!
Plus, the money goes to a good cause!

Into the Breach.
Hundred hours in, I've unlocked every achievement there is, and it's still fun to play.
The game serves up an infinite amount of interesting and challenging scenarios to play with, and the elegance of gameplay and UI never ceases to amaze me.
I cannot recommend this game highly enough.

Caesar III open source game engine 'Julius' has a new release

I've always wondered why in this day and age when every classic is getting a remastered version, Sierra's city-building classics get overlooked.
But then again, since they were so perfect and aged really well, all they need is a few UI improvements and some quality of life (optional) gameplay tweaks, and the Julius/Augustus project addresses this nicely.
I mean, I'd still like a remaster/remake, but Julius is a really awesome project and a welcome one.

A truly wonderful game, one I cannot recommend highly enough.
A masterclass in design, so simple and elegant, yet rich and layered. Finding clever solutions that snatch victory from the jaws of defeat is VERY rewarding.
It's great that we have it on Linux now, as well.
