That trailer looks nothing like the videos on Steam, with a real 3D world?

(One can dream ...)
I agree! Wade, red symbol... It would be awesome! :D
Sorry but it wouldn't - Deadpool is a game that according to the reviews are mediocre at best. it's not a good game at all. Of all the releases this could be we want a game that's picked from the top shelf.

I'm hoping, crying, begging that it's NieR: Automata. That would be awesome.

Why would that matter? They are paid by the company which owns the game. That company decides.
Sure it's that simple or are you just speculating?
I believe there's also a process on their side involved. Remember they ask for feedback on what to port quite often, with their "requestinator". So yeah, of course they must be approved by the owners, but I don't think they just sit there and wait for someone to knock on their door.

Based on what they've ported so far it's also very reasonable to expect a game with a metascore at least higher than 70, probably higher than 80. There are exceptions in their catalogue (F1 being an obvious one) but I think it can work as a general probability filter on the guesses.

Canonical drop the Unity desktop environment for Ubuntu favour of going back to GNOME

I think this decision is wise, very wise. I just hope it's not an indication of something worse brewing, in regards to the financial status of Canonical.

Quoting: liamQuestion: Is there any interest in me doing a separate site to cover general Linux news?
Don't. There's plenty of general Linux news sites and you're better off focusing on this community here.
Instead I suggest that you allow a slightly broader scope on this site and cover the main events outside of gaming but inside of Linux. Especially if it can have an indirect impact on gaming too. Like, Ubuntu is the one supported distro on Steam. I think that in itself warrants for covering news related to Ubuntu.

It's all about the editorial balance. It's nice to find "something else" here, just to spice things up, as long as we doesn't feel it goes at the expense of gaming news.

It would be great if one of you Vive-owners could give us a little report on the status on Linux as of now, both in regards to these games and the VR experience in general.
Is it matured enough for the rest of us to follow?

F1 2016 won't be coming to Linux, as sales of F1 2015 weren't strong enough

I see several of you guys discuss user ratings and the motive behind them. You should stop caring so much about the user ratings and read the professional reviews instead. There it is properly explained why they set the score that they do, furthermore they use a lot more fine-grained score system than a simple thumb up/down.
