Maybe I've just been incredibly lucky, but I've not had a game not working properly with the official version of proton/steam play.
And the few cases it didn't work, neither does it on GE (according to protondb).
It was different a couple of years ago though. That leads me to wonder if not in fact GE has kind of outplayed its role?

Quoting: BlackBloodRumJust think of all that money rolling in.. :woot:To be honest the first thing I think of is the extreme infrastructure required to handle such masses properly. That ain't cheap, I tell ya.

I find it to be mostly a display of absurd theatre to launch new models on top of the stack of models they already struggle hard with delivering due to the chipset shortage.
It's like if Sony should launch new PS5 models in fancy new colours.

Death Stranding absolutely sold me and you should play it

I actually had a plan to play this game this year. But instead I'm in my third playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077. It's the first game ever I've been motivated to play more than once.
It feels like I've not played anything but CP2077 (even though I have) - it's TOTALLY dominated this year :D

I've got some 300 hours in and am quite the contrary impressed how few bugs there are, not in any way more than any other open world game out there. Runs smooth too, even on my older graphics card. It's been my clear impression the issues were largely related to the consoles?

Quoting: GuestAward of bug fest of the year... and the winner is: Cyberpunk 2077.Have you really experienced a lot of bugs in it? Did you play it right at launch then? Or on a console?

If the requirement here is games I've played natively on Linux this year, I hate to realise that I have barely played a single game. But the two native games I have played were great:
#1 Half-Life Alyx
#2 Deus Ex Mankind Divided (released some years ago though, but been in my backlog for too long)
If we are to count gaming via Proton I think my top 2 this year must be:
#1 Cyberpunk 2077 - clearly #1
#2 Horizon Zero Dawn
#1 Half-Life Alyx
#2 Deus Ex Mankind Divided (released some years ago though, but been in my backlog for too long)

But it's hard to determine on the pictures. Are they smaller than usual? I like the concept here, so I would be interested. But not if they are as small as I get the impression of.

Quoting: fearnflavioI think the only games I have there are The Witcher 3 and CyberbugBuy them on Steam too ! They are both really good, worth it imo. Should definitely be played. And there's no denying the comfort of Steam Play.
