Quoting: HoriI've got so many survival games already but they are all SciFiSurvival sci-fi games? On Linux? With graphics like this? Colour me interested! Titles, please?
Quoting: Spl-itLooks great, as long as it doesn't use the Unity engine. (I've had my share of non working / terrible performing Unity games to be honest ).Haven't we all. :(

To get the gamer started is indeed part of a good game design.

Quoting: minjThe tutorial for CK2? You cracked me up :DThere's nothing wrong in wanting and expecting a good introduction/tutorial from a game when you start it. Nothing wrong at all. To say "hey the info is on the internet - others have made it" is not a good excuse for a poor tutorial in a game.
Use the wiki/youtube. Your own learning preferences should decide which one of those you should take.

Pillars Of Eternity, The RPG Aims For A Same-day Linux Release On March 26th

I didn't perceive Fallout:NV as particulary buggy though - not more than Fallout 3, to put it that way. However it did lack much of the magical atmosphere found in Fallout 3. Still, I'd love to see a Linux port of'em both. They are definitely worth playing.

Quoting: DrMcCoyObsidian does have a reputation of releasing buggy (and in the case of KotOR2, unfinished) games, though. This has been attributed to pressure from the publishers in the past. Here's hoping that Pillars of Eternity isn't plagued with these issues. :)The ending of kotor2 was... Weird. Unfinished indeed. But up until that point I had a great time.

In what way are Obsidian involved here? Are they the developers? Cause then this is very interesting cause Obsidian are responsible for games like Knights Of The Old Republic 2 and Fallout New Vegas, if I am not mistaken. Ergo, if this Linux release is successful...

Borderlands 2 just HAD to win. But I'm surprised and a little sad Xcom didn't fetch more scores, and I am pleased to see Transistor do so well. But this really illustrates we need categories. :)
There should be a realtively limited number of nominations within each categories. But there should be multiple categories to make things more fair (or even to make any sense at all).
For example, it's just meaningless to pitch Transistor against Xcom and Borderlands. It's like comparing a budget car to a street racer - it just makes no sense to do so.
Also - obviously imo - the nominees should be restricted to games actually released that year. No games from earlier years, nor early Access/beta/demos should be counted. Only full releases, the final product shipped out of the gate.
And Liam, I would very much like to be part of this whole process next year, should that opportunity arise. I love these kind of things. :)
Should we do as other sites do and only let editors nominate?IMO, you should let the editors agree on the final nominations, it serves no purpose to operate with mile-long lists filled with a ton of titles that really have nothing to do in a GOTY setting. They are just noise.

I don't mind one bit when developers who don't know Linux stop developing for it. At the current state of Linux gaming affairs those kind of developers do far, far more harm than good.
Developers with no Linux knowledge is well on the way of completely ruining Unitys reputation in the Linux world, and make Linux look real bad.

Can't wait to keep playing this game on Linux! I already own it unfortunately, but since I hardly ever boot into Windows anymore it's barely started. Just like Bioshock Infinite, that game too will be a blast to continue on.
I'll buy a copy of Torchlight 2 and give a (Linux) friend. It's a great game, this port deserve support.

The text of the article could just have been "It's an iphone game." and that's it. That'd be hilarious. :)
And it really should be sufficient info for all to steer clear.
