Linux gaming overlay MangoHud gets fancy with new graphs in the latest release

I've never managed to get MangoHud or vkBasalt working, even with Goverlay. CoreCTRL has also been completely broken of late, won't even launch. I'm keeping tabs on all of them to install when they're a little more mature

Here's a fun observation:
Back in the day, pre-steam on Linux, the porting houses would always take a long while to release the Linux version, and then would of course charge full price for it, as they had to make their money back from getting the license to port, etc. So we'd end up paying full price for a game that had been out for potentially years.

Fast forward to today, thanks to Steam and having one purchase per all available platforms, and thanks to Humble Bundle, if the developer ends up taking a long time to port the game, it's likely to already show up on Humble Bundle, or a Steam sale. Really, the developers now are kind of forced to do same day (or near enough to) release, if they actually want to make the full amount on their games.

Kind of weird though, as I'd pay full price for it being native, but at the same time would be rather stupid if I did when it's on sale...

To be fair, I haven't even beaten the first game...
The Steam Autumn Sale started just after I posted my comment, and holy shit it's amazing

I'm currently enjoying the irony that I've spent well over £1000 on a new computer, I'm about to spend another £1000 on scorching new AMD kit, and I'm buying an awful lot of pixel art games. Cos they're genuinely incredible

RUINER is an excellent and sorely underrated dual-stick blaster with possibly the best soundtrack ever. Well worth grabbing at the frankly ridiculous £3.79

I loved Dishonored, and the DLCs are epic. No Man's Sky I love in theory but find it a...m.....a.....z.....i.....n......g....l....y s.......l........o.............w to play in practice. I've racked up a good 30+ hours and still have only the most basic of stuff sorted.
Dishonored 2 will likely be played after RotTR

Currently enjoying Rise of the Tomb Raider, having just finished the Batman series.
Also rotating between Children of Morta, RUINER and Hollow Knight - the latter of which has *utterly miserable* native performance. Deeply tempted to buy Dead Cells, though I'd usually wait for a 50% sale (yes, I am that cheap)

On an entirely selfish level, hopefully not before I sell my Red Devil

Quoting: undeadbydawnUnfortunately this special even has cranked up the difficulty of DL considerably, with waves of fast zombies spawning every minute or so. This makes it not really worth playing for me as while it isn't 'impossible' to carry on the single player campaign, it is a massive pain to make any progress.
This is a damned shame as I was planning to play this game *a lot* over this week.
For regular play, Dying Light is superb and absolutely worth the money
You can disable the event in the settings: Options -> Online -> Community Event Participation
Yeah, I figured this out immediately after posting this comment, which I then deleted.
I now have Community Events off, at least for this one - cos that was harsh
