This is a game that you need to experience unspoiled (in as much as that's now possible). There are critical - and very subtle - points that lose a lot of their impact if you know the story already

Quoting: ShmerlI've heard the anime spoils the story and it's better to play the games first. But that can be subjective.yeah, don't

For those who never played the original: it's arguably the best horror game ever made, and one of the best of any genre.
It's absolutely drenched in atmosphere and has an exceptional story, with some of the most haunting imagery, sound, and characters ever produced. Some of the designers have since admitted almost they regretted making it because it was by far their best known work and they never managed to produce anything that matched it.
If Bloober team pull this off, and it actually works on Linux (they have a terrible track record in that department), this could be way up there with the Resi 2 remake as a must-buy release.
Do yourself the favour of going in blind, if you still can.

It's been top of my wishlist for a couple of weeks.
It may well be an ultra-rare game I buy on pre-order, depending on how reviews land.

Good game. Shame it has no DualSense support, but frankly with the free aiming system it's probably much better kb&m.
While it looks and sounds like a Vampire Survivors clone it's a completely different game mechanically. I also love the limited, muted colour palette.
Definitely worth a buy

The Native build is pointless. It does not offer Fullscreen play or any resolution adjustments. It also gives a blackbar at the bottom of the screen. Proton functions perfectly.
I truly, genuinely do not understand at all why they bothered with a Linux port just to completely half-arse it.

Short version: it's much easier to keep up with the rapidly accelerating development of essential tech like anti-cheat by hitching a ride with Experimental, especially as Proton now has most of the fixes GE has traditionally been used for.
As it now stands current mainline Proton should be preferred - with GE reserved for specific, known problems.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI wonder why there isn't an Stable version of Proton GE anymore.Thomas explained why here [External Link].
I don't trust in Experimental-BleedingEdge, but I use Experimental for, well, protonic experiments..

I've been so used to turning it off I never even considered turning it back on

Quoting: scaineCos it interfered with Skyrim mods to the point of completely breaking the game.Quoting: undeadbydawnSuccess!Probably because... why would anyone turn the steam overlay off, unless its known to cause problems (about 2 games in my 1000+ library)?
Turned Steam Overlay on and everything worked instantly.
I'm somewhat curious as to why I've never seen this mentioned anywhere else, ever
