Age Of Wonders III Strategy Game Confirmed For Linux

Quoting: GuestI’m wondering if Civ 5 is any good. But there’s no demo and it’s too expensive to buy it just to try.
There's a Civ V demo for windows on Steam, which I guess you can run through Wine as well as the full game itself.

SteamBoy Aims To Be A Handheld Steam Machine

I'm not sure games made for 20" monitors will be playable on 5" screens. I don't see much dev concern about resolution and text font adaptations even for "couch steamers", let alone for a 3rd-party portable Steam machine.

One of the funniest games I've ever played! The speech mechanics are really nice, especially in the sequel, in which you got to cheer up mates with farts or literally slap some sense into them. Or was that still the first game? I don't remember quite clearly anymore.

GOL Cast: Building My Empire In Civilization V

I've actually heard from a couple of sources that the Linux version is actually running faster than the Windows one. Can anyone else attest that?

BTW, I wish GOL had polls so we could get a better idea of that kind of thing. It would also be useful for that whole Witcher 2 is slow/OK discussion.

Quoting: BeamboomI think it's far, far too many strategy games on PC.
Funny that my perception is that every other game that is released for PC (consoles too, for that matter) is a FPS.

In any case, even as far as strategy games go, ever since RTSs came into existence, TBSs have become less common, so I'm loving this small resurgence.

ROCCAT Just Made Sofa Gaming Easier

I'm buying this unless a competitor beats ROCCAT to the punch, and I hope they consider adding a version for left-handers.
