What have you been playing on Linux recently and what do you think about it?

I am more of a fighter/PVP/Action gamer but I dont like fps games .
I like competitive games that last 5-30mins or 1h Max like speed runners or hearthstone for example.
Well actually Dark Souls or Street Fighter or Rocket League I can say are the kind of games I would prefer to play but unfortunately I cant. :(
So I played Wand Wars a bit. Not that much of a fight but is a nice game to pass your time.

Also since I had nothing to play I have beta test on Linux the NADI Project.
It is free so give it a try if you like exploration games and a nice creepy story :P
Well you have 2 options , either fast save yourself in 1 hour or complete the whole story :P

Here is my idea
----------------
Create a huge virtual birthday cake with GamingOnLinux Logo and 7 candles and cut it in small squares according to the numbers that will participate.
for example if you have 100 participants you will cut the cake in 100 pieces.
So how we play this game?
We will do it Live on Twitch and if you can create a nice Virtual Cake and broadcast it Live that would be awesome :D
Each participant submits a request or a giveaway so that the other participant has to do it but everything has to be under Linux Gaming or Under Linux OS. Each request or giveaway will be summited secretly to Liam by a pm
Each one who submits a request or a give away is automatically a participant so in case he or her missed the live broadcast his assignment will be posted to the forum of what he or she has to do :P
For example
cake piece No. 1 --> Finish the Game Hand of Fate
cake piece No. 2 --> Do the achievement of the Game Fran Bow --> I found my way out
Or we can add some Hilarious requests or whatever your imagination desires but not very offensive requests just things under Linux or if you fill very generous you can give away some nice Linux games.
So we do this small party Live on Twitch TV and the participants get a random cake number.
So at the end all people will have to do something and some other may get some nice giveaways.
Ofc we will open a forum with the tasks that everyone has to do and the participants have to post pictures that they have done the requested assignment..
Hope you like this idea :D

Well DOOM and Dark Souls 3 released previous month so it was obvious that people would want to play these games.
This month is Total War:Warhammer
So dont expect the Linux gaming community to rise its numbers at any given time...

I dont know if that is the official deepsilver twitter account but as far as I know this one is the official twitter

Maybe that Twitter UK account is just for marketing purposes and maybe the guy who handles the twitter dont know much about the game technical details?

A friend of mine called me that he had a logitech PS3 Wheel to give me for Free because he had no use for it.
http://support.logitech.com/en_my/product/driving-force-wireless [External Link]
Well I dont know the real reason why he didnt want to use it anymore , maybe he replaced his ps3 with ps4 and was not working? maybe it was not working in Windows ? or maybe he broke his ps3? :D
Well with my friend we have a small friendly fight Windows Vs Linux every time we meet...
Anyway I invited him to come to my house so we can test the Wheel...
At the start he was teasing me if there are any racing games available for Linux...
I told him that many racing games are available but we can play GRID Autosport since is one of the best racing games available in Linux...
Anyway I pluged in the Wheel ...and launched the game
(He got confused and said , ehh ... arent you going to install any drivers ??? how the heck is going to work???)
With a great surprise everything was working perfectly in the game , even the wheel was vibrating, shaking, etc and without any configuration...
You had to see his face... :woot:
I was surprised as well but now I have a racing wheel which I have to learn with it how to drive because is a bit hard atm ...

Some thoughts on Shadwen, Frozenbyte's new stealth game available for Linux

/home/<username>/.local/share/frozenbyte/Shadwen/options.txt
there are a lot of things there , even to enable cheats :P
setOption(renderingModule, "ScreenWidth", 2560)
setOption(renderingModule, "ScreenHeight", 1440)
setOption(renderingModule, "ForceFullscreenWidth", 1)
setOption(renderingModule, "ForceFullscreenHeight", 1)
The other problem I had was that the game because it was in window mode was not covering the whole screen and my taskbar was showing so I had to use Kwin Rules to force full screen on that game.. ^_^
