Quoting: anewsonI'm replaying Primordia in honour of they work they've been doing, such a fantastic game and I'm really not much of a point and click gamer; Primordia might be the only one I've finished
Ah, I did not yet play Primordia, but I played Strangeland from the same people. Might be worth your time.

The developers of Primordia (Wormwood) made Linux versions, and as that worked out, they were allowed to port the games of WadjetEye, their publisher, as well.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoMy big concern about this are the WMV and MP4 videos used in a lot of videos.

For example, I just confirmed that the transcoding issue of Marcus intro video from the Borderlands 3 wasn't fixed yet:
The original mp4 file has eight audio tracks, meanwhile the transcoded version only has english audio and that is unacceptable.

It seems Valve don't give a shit about this specific issue..
Has it been reported on GitHub?

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoNobody will buy this for just 100 or 200 supported games.
Yeah, the Nintendo Switch only had 10 games [External Link] available for it at launch, and we all remember how no one bought that thing!

…oh wait.
Well, the difference would be "You can play all of these ten thousands of games - oops, you can't" vs. "You can play ten games - yes, you can".

And Zelda.

I wonder (and hope) if those who cared for Linux the last years have sort of a harvest now with Steam Deck.

Quoting: Purple Library GuySay, talking of VR . . . does anyone happen to know how much of a difference it would be likely to make if you were using VR and had in effect just one eye?
THE main thing about VR is not 3D, but that you can turn your head and see what's behind. You're in it, not in front of it. So I think it will work well with one eye.

BTW, I've read that it makes also a gameplay difference for this game (and probably others alike): You don't just see enemies as a dot on some virtual device most of the time, but can turn around to actually see where they are!

Quoting: EhvisNice. Last night I went through my library to remove a bunch of "windows" tags from games. Looks like I need to do it again. Not complaining though.
Remove the windows tag from more games! Let's try to invert this whole cause-and-effect thingamabob!
I'm bit curious what the Windows tag is used for? I have been so far been just using the filter that hides Windows games.
I have a private tag for my library meaning "Windows only game". I guess that's it?
