Quoting: SolitaryIsn't PVP basically broken in this game? If Steam forums and many reviews are any indication, the game's community is pretty toxic with people just bullying weaker players and lot of griefing, spawn killing, etc., because the game allows for that type of play and time wasting. All of that being excused by the part of that community that is doing it as "part of the game", "realistic pirating" or just "suck it up", while actively disagreeing with any needs for fixing glaring problems that allow for all of that.Is it possible to switch off the PVP part?
And, could I play with Windows friends?

I basically gave up online gaming at least a decade ago due to seeing written chat of all those random foreigners...

Quoting: The_LuxTo be fair, I normally don't play with randoms, so Voice Chat isn't that important for me.Do I understand that correctly, you would like to have voice chat with foreigners?

Quoting: BeamboomMaybe I've just been incredibly lucky, but I've not had a game not working properly with the official version of proton/steam play. The Media Foundation thing should happen on many games, no? Recently bought Paw Patrol - On a Roll and it was missing video clips with any proton I tried. Even worse, it did not run at all with the latest versions!?! I had to use an older version plus do the media Foundation trick. (Did not try GE.)
And the few cases it didn't work, neither does it on GE (according to protondb).
It was different a couple of years ago though. That leads me to wonder if not in fact GE has kind of outplayed its role?

It's like saying "I'm paying for this free beer with the time to drink it."
I'm also using YouTube with an add blocker, but we should be honest about what we're doing there.

Quoting: slaapliedjeAds don't make YouTube free. You pay with your time to watch them.Sorry, this is nonsense. Nobody benefits from the time you spend there.

Quoting: M@GOidI had problems with Firefox on Youtube, where the page would simply stall and need a refresh to work again. Turned out it was the ad-blocker I was using, µBlock Origin. I changed for another and the problem got away. Maybe this Twitch problem with Firefox may be related to a add-on people are using. The combination works fine for me.

They offer it in JSON nowadays, though...
They do, but the JSON part doesn't even contain the CPU model!?!
(Removed the quote, you know where to find it. Steam takes some seconds to build it, though.)

Quoting: Liam DaweQuoting: ochitaNew user here, when i was filling out the pc specs i was wondering why we dont just have the user copy paste the steam provided system info and then have a few questions you have to provide yourself like the gamepad and main gaming machine question.I would need to write a parser for it and it wouldn't save much time at all. It takes the same time to fill a few boxes as it does to open Steam, go to settings and get the system info to then paste it in. Just not worth the effort really.
