If Steam forums and many reviews are any indication, the game's community is pretty toxic with people just bullying weaker players and lot of griefing, spawn killing, etc., because the game allows for that type of play and time wasting. All of that being excused by the part of that community that is doing it as "part of the game", "realistic pirating" or just "suck it up", while actively disagreeing with any needs for fixing glaring problems that allow for all of that.

Is it possible to switch off the PVP part?

And, could I play with Windows friends?

The Media Foundation thing should happen on many games, no? Recently bought Paw Patrol - On a Roll and it was missing video clips with any proton I tried. Even worse, it did not run at all with the latest versions!?! I had to use an older version plus do the media Foundation trick. (Did not try GE.)
