I'm a bit surprised LIMBO doesn't seem to have a Linux version on GoG.

It's totally sandbox. You start small, fly around, do missions, earn credits, buy bigger ships, play the economy by building stations, earn more money, invate sectors, explore for hidden pirate bases for certain goodies, etc.

It has an initial steep learning curve at first, but it has potential to give you hundreds of hours of fun. Play it with joystick if you can.

In fact, per my experience earlier and other people's in the forums, playing with a controller can be damn near impossible so if you don't have a joystick don't bother.

Hmm. Hard to tell what the game is actually about. Probably first person in the vein of Firewatch, at least. Two women, but are they the protagonists or is this something that happened prior to the game and you're dealing with the fallout of their actions? They don't seem to care about the treasures, so what is it about filming that sunrise that's so important? They're definitely there without authorisation.

A good short film though, and it'll be interesting to see how it ties in to the actual game when it gets closer.

Oh goodness, the same engine as Lords of Xulima which often gives me a blazing 5 fps.

I really hope they've worked on that a bit, the Linux port had terrible performance. Looking at their forums, I see Liam himself had drops to 10 fps during battles. Very frustrating.

I got X3: Reunion quite a while back, and the damn thing is unplayable with my 360 controller. The ship just constantly rolls unless I'm actively telling it not to, and drifts to one side. I tried my old Playstation controller, and it stopped rolling but half the buttons didn't work.

From what I could see on the forums, it was a known problem but the devs had already moved on to work on the next game and never gave it any attention. Haven't looked bothered with it since. Looking just now, it seems that it's still outstanding and they don't care, so I'm not planning to trust them on other games either.

This really fits in with my use of the Wishlist. I not only add stuff I want that's available for my platform, but also stuff that's not in order to keep an eye on it in case it becomes available in the future. The fact that this can be used as an indication of interest works for me, and it's a bit more elegant than counting +1's on the forums.
