Quoting: GuestThey took 2 million dollars, 1.25 million more than they needed, and then said "screw this shit" and ditched it (at least for us)?Well, 1.25 more than they asked for, which doesn't mean it wasn't needed. From the start, Hussie was quite realistic about how much game development can cost, and considered the original target was basically a shoestring. The fact that he managed to come out with a game at all after that, and a good one from the responses I'm seeing, is the result of a lot of hard work on his part, no question.
Please let there be a lawsuit.

Quoting: GuestHomestuck is still a thing? :PWell, people who were fans are still fans, even though it's been on hiatus. If there's one thing Andrew Hussie knows how to do, it's create a loyal following.

I've had this problem a number of times. Pity you have to jump through so many hoops for a solution, but I might do it anyway.

Minor Correction: Hussie's company is "What Pumpkin Games", after a joke from one of his older webcomics.

I should add that it has now been five days since release, and they've repeated the "top priority" comment to others. However, still no answer on why there was no day one or when we can expect the port to come out.

Quoting: charliebrownauThen again Raft bought out an linux edition and then dropped supportSpeaking of Raft, it looks like development stalled immediately after they released their Windows-only build. Still sitting at the 1.05 version since January. So we're not really missing a whole lot.
so even after supporting linux its not 100% that support is going

Looks similar in a lot of ways to Fruits Of a Feather, which is free on Itch and runs perfectly under Linux.
Prime Arena, a game inspired by MOBA and PUBG should see a future Linux released

Rarely do I see a trailer that tells me so little about the game. If I don't read your accompanying text, all I can tell is "Fantasy where you wander around and hit stuff. And there's a dragon."
It's got kind of a World of Warcraft look to the art style, which isn't bad, but the combat animations look kind of awkward.

Quoting: KimyrielleI had such high hopes for Wakfu, which runs natively under Linux, but from what I gather the economy (and ecology!) is a total mess for new players now, and like a lot of games just abandoned the intro stuff in favour of more late-game content. Great design and really interesting combat mechanics, but difficult to get in the rhythm of.Quoting: Beamboomthe rest of us need to wait a bit longer to get "our" mmo, it seems.I am not aware of any new major MMO being in active development. Not even for Windows. There are a couple smaller projects, but nothing remotely in AAA territory. And since these things take many years to make, I don't think we're going to see a Linux AAA MMO anytime soon. My biggest hope for a remedy is WINE getting able to run Elder Scrolls Online (again - it used to run win WINE even, but they broke it by removing OpenGL support).
Currently, Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars The Old Republic run very well in WINE, so at least we CAN play AAA MMOs in Linux.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, that after three years of occasional blogs that mentioned how hard he was working on the Mac and Linux ports, they're finally dropped by the wayside. I never would have expected it.
I've wanted to play this for a long time, and was actually given it as a Christmas present two years ago. But alas, for me it's utterly unplayable in Wine so I guess I never will.
