Wakfu is finally out of beta? Sweet! I'd been watching for it a long while back, but I kinda gave up on it when I moved over to Linux (although I have a Windows 7 partition that I rarely use any more). Once it gets on Steam, I might have to check it out.Quoting: KelsAside from which, I like the idea of more MMO for Linux, especially ones that aren't tied down to AAA-style graphics. It has interesting an unique classes, turn-based combat and player-driven economy/politics.

I've watched a couple of playthroughs of the first few dungeons, and it looks fantastic. Apparently the controls feel really good too, it's high quality all 'round.
However, it's also the sort of game I'm terrible at, so I'll probably not be getting it myself.

I haven't played trading card games, what are the better ones for Linux so I can maybe try one out?

Looking at the video, the card system resembles Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII.

Quoting: lavedeer god looks very atmospheric. not really like a game that will bring long term motivation or advanced gameplay but a nice little novelle with style.I would expect it's aimed at much the same demographic as Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery, which was a huge hit.

Man, Gender Bender DNA Twister Extreme [External Link] goes out of its way to be some offensive trash, doesn't it? I guess deviantART members need games too. That one's on my "Not If You Freakin' Paid Me" list.
These ones look like they have potential though:

Oddly enough, I got it through a Humble Bundle (for Windows at the time, but later discovered they provided a .sh file for Linux installs) rather than the Ubuntu Software Centre. However, it's not in the Humble Store now, so presumably it never got added. Maybe approach them about it?

I can add Avadon 2 to the "needs linux" list. I bought it shortly before I switched to Linux and haven't been able to play it since. Apparently the first game was ported by a volunteer, and they had problems because nobody knew how to provide support, so apparently they're iffy about doing it again.
To be honest, I'd rather see Torchlight 2 than the original on Linux. But you go with what you've got I guess.

Hmm, looking at the Steam forum for the game, they haven't even considered a FoV control, which these days is no-brainer stuff for a first-person game. Given how many people complain of motion sickness on PC games with low FoV (myself included) this is the sort of thing designers should really stay on top of. But from their priority list as of June 13, they don't even seem to be aware that it's a consideration.
Just as well I read that before I watched much of the video. Close call.

Seems like a party game to me, where you drink a bit and laugh at each other doing ridiculous stuff with a goat.
Your average Friday night in some places, just it's a video game now.
