Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood price drop!

I bought the Windows version of this game many years ago. I had no idea that it had a Linux client. I'll have to look at finishing it someday.

Wow, look at all the people coming out from the woodwork to respond to this! Welcome :D

I'd be keen, but I'd also recommend that editors should be ineligible for giveaways ^_^

Two Tribes Are Hunting For Linux Interest
20 Jan 2013 at 8:06 am UTC

It seems to have have had some kind of impact. I've updated the first post with some subsequent tweets by Two Tribes.

Quoting: s_dWow, Cheese... I see what you did there
It wasn't me. All I did was ask if they were finally thinking about it, and then got the word out when they asked if there were more who were interested. It was everybody else who made the difference (I know this because I'd previously had this discussion with them on my own a couple of times).

For anybody who can't see the whole picture, there are many, many more tweets that aren't tied to anything linked to in the first post (I retweeted a few dozen before deciding that I'd spammed my followers enough ^_^ ).

Cheese Talks To Double Fine (about cross-platform game development)
20 Jan 2013 at 4:55 am UTC

It's got achievements and cloud support, but these aren't features that can't easily be replaced by something custom (and the game wouldn't suffer without them). There's no networked multiplayer, so it's not using Steamworks for that. I imagine a non-Steam release wouldn't be a lot of hassle, but I have no idea if it's being worked on.

Cheese Talks: More Cross-platform Humble Bundle Details Than You Ever Wanted To Know!
17 Jan 2013 at 9:57 am UTC

So, for anybody who was keen to follow up on the wiki stuff we were talking about earlier, I've been talking with soeb, and we're going to try to organise a thorough enhancement of Humble Bundle game pages with extra details on ports, outstanding issues and fixes.

I'll probably put a news post up about it within the next few days :)

Nuclear Dawn Coming To Linux
16 Jan 2013 at 9:05 am UTC

Mim and I play this a bit. It's got a bit of a learning curve and requires good teamwork/communication to be enjoyable, but it's heaps of fun when you land in with the right group of people.

The Cave adventure game confirmed Linux support via steamplay!

Seriously though, this is great news. How long ago was it that Double Fine were console exclusive? They've made some huge steps forward over the past 12-18 months, and it seems to mesh well with them wrangling more direct control over their future, so it's win-win :D
