Quoting: "Hamish, post: 5640, member: 6"Indeed, which is why theses issues should have been worked out before the Bundle started. Now, we are getting a native port, and I am grateful that they are taking the time to do it properly. But this was still handled badly by the Bundle organizers IMO.It does seem that way, though I wonder where the pressure to coincide with Torchlight 2's release came from.
Quoting: "Hamish, post: 5637, member: 6"Which may explain why it only got $2 Million - not a figure to be scoffed at but still much lower than the previous big Indie bundle got.I don't believe that figure will be toppable in a long time. The lineup of the Humble Indie Bundle V stands out against every previous bundle. I'd definitely agree that proximity to that outstanding bundle hurt this one, but all things considered, I'd say this one did pretty darn well (4th highest all up).

GOG have an upcoming event where they will announce the support of additional "OSes" (plural). It's unclear whether Linux will be one of those (there's mention of MacOS and "consoles" in the news post about the event), so it wouldn't be a good idea to get your hopes up, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye to.
The numbers are still fluctuating (I'll give a summary in a couple of days when things are settled), but at this point, it looks like MacOS will finish up between $17k and $18k ahead of Linux in this bundle.

Annnnnnnd we're behind again :)
The thing I worry most about is whether this bundle will set a precedent for what is cool for Linux/Mac titles in future bundles. Fingers crossed that it doesn't happen that way.

Quoting: "Anon, post: 5551"Looking at the previous bundles, today in a couple of hours is pretty much certain. But nobody know how long it will take for Vessel to make a debut on Linux. That's the game I want the most! The guys are working hard on it. They want you to have it as much as you do ^_^

I'm going to posit that when Vessel makes an appearance, we'll likely see a further jump in Linux/MacOS numbers.
It'll also be interesting to see what impact the upcoming bonus titles will have as well.

Left 4 Dead 2 Getting Workshop and Linux Support in Mid October?

No matter. I made the typo, so I'm happy to live with it ^_^
Valve seem to have been a little more reliable with publicised dates over the past couple of years (I think they just don't throw specifics out there until they're certain now), so "Valve Time" doesn't seem to have the relevance it once had.
It'll be interesting to see how they handle the rollout of Workshop in Left 4 Dead. I really wish they'd throw Workshop on Alien Swarm. That was the perfect title to launch it on, IMO, since it's an empty canvas waiting to be filled (and having Workshop launch on it would have given it a bit more of the attention it deserves).

Quoting: "liamdawe, post: 5508, member: 1"You can do it by pressing Edit to the right of the link to it on the topic list on the actual forum page.Ah. I guess I don't have permissions to do that - I don't see thread options or an edit link in the news subforum.
Also under Thread Options on the post itself - only just realised this one myself.

On topic - So Steam very soon then making Valve Time allowances.Yeah, the L4D blog post is in line with stuff that I've heard.

Ah, fruit. Looks like a typo slipped into the title. Not sure if/how I can fix that.
