Salt and Sanctuary, a stylish 2D action RPG is now in Beta for Linux gamers

I have total confidence in Mr. Lee's porting skills, and this seems like something I might enjoy. Won't buy a beta but I'll keep a close eye on the game.

Quoting: HadBabitsI do have a bug (which I reported!) where setting the game in borderless or windowed makes a small window that's cropped. However, Flibit doesn't seem to have this issue, so it could be something specific to my set up?
Something to do with your window manager, seeing as the problem is related to windowing? Maybe install and test with one of the light alternatives like xfwm, awesome or one of the *boxes?

8 out of the 10 current most popular Steam games support Linux

Quoting: maodzedunUntil the terrible performance difference is fixed, they can port the entire Steam library to Linux and it still won't matter.
You mean it won't matter to so called hardcore gamers, but it will matter to those of us who won't consider gaming on Windows at all. As long as there's plenty to play, with acceptable performance on reasonable hardware, I don't really care how it runs on other platforms.

Besides, there's no shortage of games on Linux for those of us who don't have the time or the budget for every single hit game out there. And the future looks bright through my penguin-shaped eyewear. Time (and Vulkan) will level the playing field, and everyone shall live happily ever after.

Seems like a decent puzzler with some fresh ideas. Voted.

Quoting: c3224Guys, idiots who use Python, Pearl, C#(mono), Java, Javascript (or any other scripting language except Lua) etc. cant make good software or use complex/advanced stuff like Vulkan, OGL, Posix etc., they are just too stupid and/or lazy, end of story.
Hehe, funny stuff. :D

(No, I'm not laughing with you, I'm laughing at you.)

Quoting: Kuduzkehpanmac os will support vulkan its not so different than OpenGL and METAL wont gonna be popular or Trending. And vendors are more mature to build vulkan ready graphic drivers for mac os.
Unless you know something the rest of the industry doesn't, Mac will not support Vulkan. Apple are putting their eggs in the Metal basket. Apple make/approve the drivers, so you can't just slot Vulkan into Mac like you can do on Linux and Windows.
Also Vulkan is very different from OpenGL. The only thing these API's do have in common is that both are managed by the Khronos Group. In fact Vulkan and Metal are more likely to have something in common than Vulkan and OpenGL do.

As Liam said, Apple isn't likely to support Vulkan on IOS or OSX. Molten [External Link] could make this problem go away, we'll see.

The game seems really fun. Too bad my friends have probably already lost interest, and playing with random strangers isn't really my cup of tea. I'll most likely still get it but I might have to wait for a sale. Happily the Steam summer sale isn't far off.

You know what they say: "Waiting makes it better!" Nice to be a Linux gamer eh? We sure spend a lot of time waiting...
At least it's more affordable that way... *smirk*
Silver lining spotted.

I'm a sucker for a good comedy adventure. Nice to see there's a demo. If it tickles my funny bone, the game's sure to end up high on my wishlist.
