imagine non-heterosexual relations being patched out of Dragon Age, Mass Effect,...omg this is hilarious. Aren't there some EA games somewhere in their history where some journalist tries to deliver some incriminating evidence to a publisher? Just think of the patch coming from "totally not the saudis you guys seriously" ... no more mission! Or maybe the mission gets replaced with a hacksaw as a reward and a gigantic suitcase full of cash. Freedom cash.

Wow. Well everyone already hated EA, so now to be owned by the Kushners (disgusting) and the Saudi gov (disgusting) is just chefs kiss of plague ridden catastrophe to be avoided at all costs.
For me personally, I don't play a single game from the franchises listed, so it'll be an easy pass on everything they do! The last bastion WAS dragon age, but that entire franchise is dead and gone now after releasing a disney game for 6 yr olds and trying to trick people into buying it as a dragon age game. And they don't have anyone left from the old ME era, so we can all give up on that as well.
The rest, I just personally don't care about. I know tons of people do play those games though. It'll be interesting to see how the development goes into the future at least.

This is so exciting! I recently tried the cosmic de (alpha 7? alpha 8?) with cachy and while I loved the interface, it was unfortunately a little too buggy for daily driving. Which is totally understandable! It was an alpha after all. I very much look forward to full release when most of the bugs are fixed and I'll switch over for good. So wonderful to have some new air in the de space.

I'm in the "I have no love for nightdive" boat myself. I'm glad they're not doing this. I'm sad they're doing the SS2 one but oh well, I will just write it off. I backed their ss1 remake / remaster / whatever and it was a DISASTER. Took like a decade too long (how on earth did they keep the lights on during all that time?), and even when it was finally released was FULL of bugs / core engine issues. Stuff like not having the ability to remap mouse buttons (what?) and even worse: severe scaling issues with widescreen monitors. They hadn't implemented scaling properly so stuff was just getting stretched out super wide/fat instead of scaling properly. Major issue. After that disaster of a game release I just completely ignore anything they ever do now, and hope/wish they'd just shut down and let other more competent teams take their place.

DAMNATION.
every time there's a big update to this game I check to see if the keybindings are fixed, and as with all other updates: they are not. Even with this most recent update. I soooooo badly want to play this game, but I can't since I game with a numpad. Oh well.

Maybe I'm very lucky but I've never seen that kind of websites, so never had to use Chrome in any way.In my case, I have two sites that force me to use chrome. Both are work related extremely heavy, extremely custom, applications related to audio video processing. They don't even allow Chromium, they require CHROME itself and nothing else. I tried. So I don't use my linux desktop for any of that, I use my macbook and allow chrome to get it's grubby little malware fingers all over it. I just then don't use my macbook for anything personal related at all. It sucks because I would love to use my huge ultrawide monitor for those two apps, instead of a small laptop monitor, but there's zero chance in hell I'm installing chrome on my personal computer. Or anything from google, ever. Oof, I shudder to even think about it. I'd have to wipe and physically take out the m2 and run it over with my vehicle, go buy a new m2 drive, install it, then reflash the os.

I was wondering what'll happen with the whole Arc series myself. Like why would Nvidia do a deal like this and let Intel continue to make core products that compete with their lineup.
But then there's this:

"We’re not discussing specific roadmaps at this time, but the collaboration is complementary to Intel’s roadmap and Intel will continue to have GPU product offerings," Intel said in an emailed statement to HotHardware. But that could easily change. I REALLY hope they keep the Arc series going, because all of us need the competition in this space.
