This seems awesome, but I still have no desire to move away from my bequiet case. Best I've ever used. In the future though I'll definitely keep this in consideration for another build.

Sea of Stars, Shadow Gambit, Steamworld, CyberKnights. Mostly I'm super pumped to fire up CyberKnights because the Trese devs are just gold.

Just a note for my fellow players: I had some troubles with a super laggy battle net launcher. Sometimes it would just take FOREVER to launch and become unresponsive. I did some research, and changed my dns from isp default to cloud flares 1.1.1.1 and it fixed it immediately. Apparently battle net is finicky with dns.

I have a 6750XT, battle.net installed through lutris and Diablo installed through that. Latest wine GE, VKD3D 2.9. The game is set to high (1440p) and starts at an easy 120 FPS but performance will slowly degrade until eventually after a bit of playtime the frame times get wildly erratic and the FPS is down into the 40s with very stuttery movement. Dropping all settings does nothing at that point.

Also Fedora 38 but using Gnome. I guessaybe the next steps are trying to install through Steam instead. Or maybe try installing KDE on the remote possibility it's mutter weirdness, which has been known to happen.

I have a 6800xt, so very similar gpu, and I normally get 120+ fps, but randomly (seemingly in dungeons) it'll drop down to around 40s and 50s and get stuttery. But then if I transition to a different area, it'll be gone. I have no idea why lol. I think it just needs a few patches to work out the optimization. Overall I think it runs REALLY well and looks wonderful.

I'm running it through steam with proton experimental, and you can see the rest of my stats on my profile if that helps.

in a follow up post on the mastadon thread, he says there will be three versions of the case, from mini all the way to eatx. I bet the middle and big one should support a full gpu no problem.

yes exactly. The big question is "when" - I think I've been hearing some version of this exact same statement for years now. It's always "coming soon" so we shall see. For now I'm still on x11 just because it irks me to switch to wayland and then for all my games it's just running x on top of wayland. Why not just run x natively. The phrase never made sense to me whatsoever. Boomers were already 50 years old in the mid 90s so yeah, almost none of them would have played doom / quake. My father is a boomer and he's 80 years old now! Wouldn't even know what the words Doom / Quake / FPS / etc mean.

My guess is that "boomer shooter" just sounds good rolling off the tongue and is way easier to write / read than "Genx Shooter" so it stuck.

It did, at the bottom. It really was a shame what happened with that game. So many broken promises. They even released a lot of the original ideas/promises in the beta, only to later remove them completely and turn the game from a really interesting concept into just another boring looter but worse in quality than all the other looters out there. I also have tried it on linux multiple times since they sold the entire company, and the input lag was unplayable. In both single and online mode. Not sure why. Immediately switching to last epoch or d4, and didn't notice it at all there, so seems like a wolcen specific issue.
