Quoting: slaapliedjeI'll wait until the modders fix her face to look like the first one. :PI played the first one to nearly 100% at 120 hrs, and I have put several hours into this new one, and I think she looks the same. I mean I know it's been years since I saw her, but she seems totally fine.

I wonder if they're just burned out on BG3 / dnd and want to move on.
I would love it if they'd do a more scifi themed rpg. Their products are always fantasy based, so that might be a fun departure.

Quoting: suchBG3 is the only game in years that I started playing (with the intent to finish it) at release. Usually, I wait on expansions, the inevitable complete edition a year or two down the line. It's a nice feeling that it's pretty much done as is.I do find it interesting that Larian themselves have a history of doing expansions and then "definitive editions" or whatever they call it.

Quoting: CyborgZetaI wish it was on Steam. I basically quit buying games from GOG a couple years ago because it was easier just playing games in Steam. Still, I'm glad to see GOG do this, and I'm willing to buy it.It is much easier in steam, however I have had good success just using Heroic to do all my gog playing. You can just use whatever the most recent GEProton is by default for all games. Not AS easy as steam, but kind of close.

I just spent a couple hours in game, and man ........ the visual quality. Stunning puts it mildly. It's kind of crazy that I thought the original Horizon had the best visual quality I'd ever seen and now the only thing to take that crown is this. Nothing else comes close that I've seen. I was also worried about performance, but I'm getting constant 60+ fps which is perfect for me. I'm on:
Ryzen 7 5800x
Radeon RX 6800 XT
32g ram
3440x1440
all settings on "high" in game
no upscaling/frame gen/etc
all the garbage stuff like chromatic aberration turned off (not sure if this helps perf at all?)
Pretty wonderful what these devs have accomplished. Now to get out of the tutorial mode and start exploring the world! I know a lot of people were turned off by the open world of the first game, but I absolutely loved it. Completely almost every single thing there was to do. I hope I plan on doing the same here!

I've now leveled to 70 in offline mode and had none of those things. Working wonderfully to me, and still loving playing it every single day. I have lost no items, materials, or gold.

Quoting: TruckStopSantaClausI'm a massive KDE fanboy, but the Cosmic Desktop looks like it could have a lot of potential.Same here. Very much interested in how it turns out. My htpc runs on popos, so I'll have to update to it there and see how it is.

And it's definitely no supermodel, but the graphics aren't bad at all. It looks fine to me. I just want to make clear I'm not defending the game at all, I have only played it for like 1 hour, but just giving my perspective on it. CRPGS are probably my favorite genre.
I never could get into Encased. Tried but it just didn't click for me for whatever reason. Should I give it another go? What's unique about it?

Quoting: GuestGraphics look bad. And it looks like it doesn't have a story. Not sure i'm interested in the game. I hate when they make crpg's with no story. It's no fun if its just endless combat. In fact, its a shame that games like Encased died because they offered unique gameplay elements in a CRPG format other than endless combat. It definitely does have a story. How we all might judge that story is a different conversation lol, but there's definitely one there. The campaign starts off with specific quests related to the story.
