Minecraft Live returns October 15, you're voting for the Penguin right?

i'll vote for nothing bcs there hasn't been a single actually useful mob in those votes ever, and all these "polls" do is stir up bulllshit controverses among the playerbase which will just make them talk about it non-stop, as some sort of anger-based advertisement campaign and that is working more than y'all think.

best thing to do is highlight and support mod authors who actually add interesting stuff to the game instead of microsoft pushing bogus updates to minecraft.

Team Fortress 2 - Summer 2023 Event is live as it smashes player records

as a 8 year player with 3000 hours all i can say is that this is just yet another post-2017 tf2 update.

just with a not working VSH implementation, maps that one of the biggest community projects (creators.tf) removed from their map pool just 3-4 weeks after we added it bcs it was so bad and buggy (cashworks), yet valve had no issue not playtesting it and just adding it.

other than that, just money making cosmetics.

i really don't understand why valve felt the need to post a blog post announcing the existence of this update. it's so not worth the wait lmao.

While this definitely looks nice, they also disabled custom theming, or at least I can't find it.
Meaning for people using the beautiful AdwSteamGTK (https://flathub.org/apps/io.github.Foldex.AdwSteamGtk) to integrate steam better into their gnome desktop, this is completely gone now.
Additionally, the setting for what entries appear on the system tray steam menu is gone, however I'd be surprised if they don't add that back, for theming however, no saying if Valve is just gonna declare that dead. But my gut tells me good bye Steam theming.

I immediately switched from Nobara (which is Fedora based anyway) to Fedora 38 Sway and it is just so frogging great.
The continued stability of Fedora just gave me that bit of needed confidence to delve into the wild world of tiling window managers, and while my setup is still very frogging atrocious, I am very happy with it, and can't wait for it to improve, config line by config line.
