I no longer have a Switch, but have a couple of games still hanging around because local stores won't accept imports due to them not carrying the nationally-accepted age-ratings, so here's a picture;

Quoting: emphyThen you may also be interested in the Retrode 2, a snes and genesis cartridge dumper with plugins for gbx, sms, and n64. It also allows one to connect the classic controllers of the respective consoles.I dropped in here to post exactly that. I got mine way back when they first became available - neat little piece of kit!
It's available irregularly at several online retro-game shops.
Quoting: PhiladelphusDoesn't the Switch used microSD cards? (I don't have one.) Just need an emulator on the Deck that can detect when one's been plugged in if that's the case… :happy:For digital releases yes (and the card specifically has to be formatted on the individual Switch console it will be used with), but generally no, it uses its own cartridge format.

Quoting: whizse(Admit it, if Gordon Freeman had a voice he would sound exactly like Paolo Bellini!)I dunno, I think that the rendition from Half-Life: Full Life Consequences [External Link] will always spring to mind first, for me.

Quoting: MarcselloCould it be...I'm no expert, but my understanding is that you wouldn't typically trademark a subtitle on its own.
Counter-Strike:Neon Prime? Or Half-Life:Neon Prime? I'm not sure how trademarks work tbh...
The upgraded ivoler Steam Deck Docking Station is another good choice

My favourite word-salad names for some of these seemingly fly-by-night type companies that I've seen recently were "HEYSTOP" and "FASTSNAIL". I assume that they just throw words into some algorithm or other until it comes out with things that are pronounceable.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyHuh. I thought ivoler would just be for people who use the iVole, a sort of Apple-branded mouse you use with your elbow. :tongue:Nice one.

Go tell Bungie you want Destiny 2 on Steam Deck / Linux

For me, it would be dishonest to make a support-post for a game in a genre that I don't enjoy and would never play. I'd rather put my money where my mouth is for the titles that I am interested in when they actually do work on Linux by whatever means.

Quoting: damarrinAs a rule, I'm not so keen on the begging. As these things go, usually there's a huge outcry which gives the game publisher unreasonable expectations and then support is dropped a couple of years later because actual players never materialise. This is why I haven't contributed to this, even though I know that getting games like this working on Linux is a good thing, and even though I fully support the contributions of those who are taking part. (There's also the fact that, though that's clearly not the case this time, people's port/support-begging tends to be something that gets leveraged by corporations in order to get people to post what amounts to free promotions on social-media for their products.)
It only serves to reinforce the general opinion that Linux isn't worth investing in. I hope I'm wrong.

Quoting: GuestIs an oled display the right choice for a pc?OLEDs hurt my eyes - I'd never be able to use one of these. (I also don't much like the idea of them being guaranteed to die due to being organic, either - feels like a con to me...)
Thinking about burn-in issues...

What I can only describe as some form of microscopic fart-cannon, the free and open source evolution sim Thrive has added what they call a Mucilage Jet for your creatures in version 0.5.10.This is quite possibly the best article summary I've seen this week.
- Valve wins legal battle against patent troll Rothschild and associated companies
- Game manager Lutris v0.5.20 released with Proton upgrades, store updates and much more
- Rocket League is adding Easy Anti-Cheat, Psyonix say Linux will still be supported with Proton
- Unity CEO says an upcoming Beta will allow people to "prompt full casual games into existence"
