As a fan of Pacific Drive (despite it repeatedly having issues with AMD drivers for some reason) and Dredge, not to mention the long developed Beware [External Link], more games where the player has a vehicle as a bubble between them and unspeakable horrors please!
2K Launcher is finally no more - that's at least one publisher making things better for gamers

Quoting: t3gHaving to launch an additional launcher to play a game on Steam (a launcher) is silly. While some companies like 2K are backing off, Sony is being more aggressive with theirs. It would be nice if we could optionally login to Sony/EA/Ubisoft through the native ingame menu for multiplayer instead of running another Electron app in the background.Something, something, shareholder meetings, something, something, number go up.
Sony say their PSN account requirement on PC is so you can enjoy their games 'safely'

I've never been of the crowd that get annoyed with registering more accounts (though no shade thrown to those who do), but what honestly bugs me the most about this whole ordeal is that it's caused folks in a lot of places to be completely denied access to these games on PC. Like, it made some sense when the explanation was something to the effect of "you need to be able to buy a Playstation" or whatever it was, but really even when that was the case it still didn't make much sense. If you can build a PC and run Steam on it, there should be no reason why you can't buy a Sony game and register a Playstation account, it's baffling.

I'm a bit confused, you pointed out that it doesn't have a "built-in battery" but also said that it can do 12 hours on battery via bluetooth.
As for recommendations for folks, I'll repeat the one I shared a few months back when this was initially covered and say that the Gulikit KK3 Pro offers multi platform support (Switch, Android, PC and their low latency dongle), decent battery life, gyro, rumble, and most importantly hall effect sticks and triggers. The Pro version also comes with attachable back paddles in two styles. It's not necessarily cheap, but versus potentiometer joysticks, hall effect sensors are more likely to give you a longer use period without worrying about stick drift.

Quoting: CatKillerPreach. Are you currently having issues you want to see solved? The notification bell popping up for things that you've said you don't want to be notified about is still super annoying, and has been super annoying since they introduced the notification bell.

I've been a fan of Siri and Mechanism (Deckmate originally) since he put out the add on of the same name a couple years ago. Such a handy accessory, and the CableMate is lovely too. While I don't plan to pick this one up for a good bit, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Inventory Sling Bag for anyone who wants an upgrade to the baseline Steam Deck case. If nothing else if you're looking for a laugh feel free to take a look around the Mechanism site, they have a habit of including at least one gag with every item.

Quoting: suchMy point was more towards the Library of Alexandria's status as one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world, or in other words, I thought the point of GoG making available all these old games was to preserve them which it seems like they in some cases are unable to do. I'm not saying Steam is any better, it's just hard for me to accept the justification of releasing only on GoG as being done from a preservation standpoint.Quoting: pbYeah, GOG is a bookstore by that logic.Quoting: JustinWoodI kind of thought GoG was supposed to be the old game library of Alexandria, at least to some extent.I'm not familiar with these times but wasn't the library free to access? So, something more like this [External Link]?

My wishlist:
Please, for the love of God, let me disable notifications for people on my friend's list coming online or starting up games like I can on desktop. I only want notification bells for achievements, comments, sales, trading cards, stuff like that.
Honestly it's getting to the point where I'm almost considering sending a support request in because I feel like it's a bug and somehow Valve staff just missed introducing it like a year ago or more.
Also, time zone sync based on network. If my phone and tablet can do it, surely my Deck should be able to, right?

Y'know, it's hard to take their desire to preserve these old titles seriously when every Delta Force title was removed from every store front back in June. https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/06/so-much-for-preservation-the-classic-delta-force-games-are-getting-delisted/
Like, yeah it doesn't happen often but the point was that it shouldn't happen at all, right? I kind of thought GoG was supposed to be the old game library of Alexandria, at least to some extent.
